It looks that I can't get players trained into new positions... I assign them new positions in training, but they simply don't acquire them. I know it has to do with a player's adaptability, but how long does it take? Some players haven't learned a new role in a whole season, and they were teens or 20-21 yo!
Should I assign them a specific training instead of letting them train with the first team?
Also, which training schedule is the best for young players to develop, considering I have Gareth's training schedule available?
some players NEVER do on CM01/02. Where as some do in a few months, i think it just depends on how good your coaches are and how versitile/adabtable the player is.
TROD.
I never had a problem with changing a players position. Maybe I was just lucky ...

I tried with 10 players at Triestina (Italian Serie B, CM4, good training facilities, 5 physios, 4 coaches, 2 assistant managers - bought an additional one, the excellent Rosario Di Vincenzo), not even a single one did change his position! Should I assign them to a specific training schedule?
And still my first question, what training schedule should I use to develop younger players?
try leaving them on it for longer
ask gareth about the second question, he knows all about that stuff
TROD. I just usually leave tme on what they are on.

Gareth's been banned, this is the main problem... I'm training them with a mix of Gareth's training schedule (6 times a week), technique (2-3 times a week), then shooting, set pieces (att and def), overloading (att and def).
majbe you're putting them in completly diffrent positions. In 01/02 I did it succesfully for like changing from DM to M or D or Left to Right but that's all it worked for

I don't think this is the problem. I'm trying to put Ambrosini from DMC to ML, Francesco Ciullo from AM/F LR to Central, Laursen from DC to DMC, Roque Junior from DC to DR... and I'm working on a few youngsters of course, Alessandro Budel (21 yo) from DM LRC to M RLC, Eder Baù from F LRC to AM LRC and so on.

I think its also wherether they have a 1 by that position in the editors.
I always remember there being 2 if thats the players position and 1 if they can be trained in that position
