The biggest improvements that no one can forget other than gameplay which everyone wants is the shooting. In winning eleven one of the only reasons why the game is more realistic is because the players shoot with the inside of their foot and not the outside always like fifa. Also they have to get the whole right foot left foot thing done i hope those are some of the attributes because i dont want to see players like davids shooting better with their right foot and taking penalty kicks with their wrong foot. Also if anyone has world cup 2002 the ball travels so better. It doesnt go by the goal like a bullet in 2003. Those are the parts that they have to fix to actually make the game realistic.

I think you're right! Shooting is one of the most important aspects in a soccer game and to tell you the truth: it was very bad IMO in Fifa 2003!
I liked it much more in Fifa 2002 where you could shoot where you wanted (at least with an analog stick) and curl a ball.
The shooting in Fifa 2003 works as follows: it's just an area that is "assisted" and an area that's not. When you are in an assisted area (40 degrees default Fifa 2003 value), the ball goes between the posts (0 degrees means aiming at the centre of the goal). Than there is a "Nearmiss" area (90 degrees default). Whenever you aim between 40 degrees and 90 degrees, the ball will miss his target by a PREDEFINED distance!!! You can easily change these values so that if you get in the "nearmiss" area, the ball will go miles off target. If you aim your shot really bad (wrong by more than 90 degrees) your shot will go exactly where you aim it.
IMO, this shooting systems s*cks big time!
I've tried to set the assisted and nearmiss area to an angle of 1 degrees, so your shot always goes the way you aim, but than there is a problem with the shot height: it always goes way too high. Tried to fix this too, but nothing worked :( Anyone knows how to fix this?
The keepers need to be improved a lot as well. No more "superreflexes" when you shoot from 5 meters at a speed of 100 km/h! There should at least be a slower response time. In real life the ball would pass the keeper before he can even stick out a finger!
I think these two things need vast improvements!

I dont like how the goalies are so fast on a goalie charge theres no way to shake them are run past them.(Even with Henry's type of speed)

There's a 1000 more differences, but this is a major one. In WE the player placing the ball will hit it with the instep, not a very hard shot but effective when curling it in or placing it the corner. Players may hit it with the full step if goung for power (top of the boot) or with the otside when volleying or when wrong footed.
The possibilities are countless. Add to this volleys, side volleys, first touch shots, miskicks etc. and the shooting system is simply jaw dropping.
EA have A LOT OF work to do to catch up to ISSpro98 in this department, and its 5 years later !!

I think the priority is to get the heading system sorted out. Nothing pissed me off more about FIFA 2003 than the heading. That more than anything was why I started longing after Konami games, ended up playing the games on the ePSXe emulator and finally ended up buying a PS2 for WE6! If EA screw up something major this year or make the game more scripted they'll find a lot more people going that way.

I wanna see hand balls! I wanna see fake dives, and players getting carded for it, I wanna see fans throwing stuff on the pitch (ala argentina)
As for the shooting, the could definately try to make it harder to score from the HALF THE FIELD when you run in open space with the like of Zizou and Davids..
Plus its way hard to shoot upper 90 all the time with the OPPOSITE foot the player uses (ala Rivaldo's right footed free kicks, and shots)
plus they should allow more player users in tournaments....
