06/03/2003. According to reports in Italy, Cafu is having a medical in Milan before completing a free transfer to the Rossoneri.

Tonight he is expected to sign a 2-year contract worth 1 million Euros per season.

The Brazilian is out of contract with AS Roma and recently turned down a move to Yokohama Marinos.

The funny thing about Helveg, is that his contract is owned by Inter, but he has been on loan to Milan over the past 2 seasons, and so has yet to wear an Inter shirt at all.

Bad news, it means if dear Roma dont get playbeckham we'll be having Mancini screwing up our right side.

Cant Panucci play at right back?

I am sure he used to play in that position before...

Montoya, I think Panucci should play chess, and Mancini cant play as right back, but as a right half or a right wing. He cant mark and he is not even the kind of guy that WANTS to mark. Roma should play with 4 defenders (2 samuel and dellas a left, Candela and a right, Lassissi), one defense half (Emerson), one opened right half (used to be Cáfú, but now it'll have to be Mancini), one close down left wing (Delvecchio), one offesne half (Totti) and two center forwards (Cassano and Montella). Ah Roma plz dont let me down next season!!! Buy a right half/wing one srikrer and 2 center bakcksss!!!!

It's far from being final.
Cafù has passed the medicals, but he hasn't signed anything yet since he has a pre-contract with Yokohama Marinos. Once he gets rid of it, he'll sign with Milan.
He's expected to be a reserve though, with Stam being the main thing for Milan this season. I've got this news from a very reliable source (people working at the Italian FA).
Also Baraldi (Lazio's CEO) has confirmed today that Stam will leave.

Stam's more of a centre-back, and we already have 2 of those... Maybe you've heard of them :p

Stam has been playing as RB for Lazio for the whole season, excellent at defending and good at attacking...

Cafu is getting old and his contribution this year is zero!!
