man I cant believe it.
Why Wenger would do this I dont know. Its a real shame.
Seaman is Arsenal.

Well a la Peter Schmeichel, Seaman has signed a one year contract with City and surely retire at the end of it.

Personally I think this is sad. And I agree with the guy saying that Arsene is insane not to take him on for that last year.

Good for Arsenal.

Will he still be England's No.1?

It's a good choice, Seaman is to old for a topclub like Arsenal

He is a good golkeeper once and now it is his time to go to a smaller club...

It will be painful to oppose Seaman when Arsenal meet ManCity, but, although I believe he is still No1 at Arsenal,I lost heart when he missed the ManU game at Highbury because of.........................A FREAKING COLD!!!!

Go your way old man, and good luck to you, but we want a keeper who won't let a cold bedrid him.

I could definately see this coming... IMO Arsenal should go after Recber, if they fail there then Robinson...

btw Man City have also signed Michael Tarnat from Bayern Munich for free, he is 33 years old...

Why insult arsene, he kept picking seaman for all this time when lots of fans had lost faith in him(seaman),the situation was that david wanted to remain no1 but it just wasn't going to happen so he left. I Wish him good luck in his seemingly final year and honestly hope he doesnt let people remember his last year in a negative way, and forget the great career hes had already.

i cant believe this, this was shocking..Seaman has done wonders but its ok..he is 39 years old and one of the reasons we dint win the chamionship last season was becuz of em..silly goals

Arsene Wenger isnt insane its completey the opposite becuz that shows us (Arsenal fans) that he wants to win trophies and he knows Seaman more than any of us..he knows wat hes capable of next season...

Thats Arsene Wengers first move..now its time for a GK to join us!!!

Seaman has not been guaranteed a first team spot in next season and that's why he left.

Good luck to him at Man City.

Arsene has stood by Seaman through all that crap he went though...Seaman is doing this to retain the England #1 shirt, he should have seen that his England run was over when 4 other keepers were chose to play before him.

Peter Schmeichel leaves Man City and retires. So probably David Seaman will also retire with Man City. Who will it be next season? Nobody knows. It a mystery. (H) :kader:  :mrpimp:

I am guessing somebody like Paul Jones from the Saints.

BTW Great news! so far so good! Hopefully City will sing Repka soon. That will make Ruud's job even easier!

This is sad. Seaman is Arsenal and I'm dissappointed that he didn't make the decision to hang up his gloves after this season, when he should have, and still wearing an Arsenal shirt. Damn shame. (:/)

Should've ended his career like this...

Well, maybe when Seaman retires Kevin Keegan will persuade Gordon Banks to give it another go.

He definatly has had a great career and has a achieved a lot:) . but I hope its not the wrong decision to play for another year coz if he has a really bad season not a good thing to go out on.:o

Seaman has done soo much for Arsenal but Wenger had to make a choice it would of been a big risk keeping him without buying another keeper.

Still I predict that Seaman will do very well this year and if he doesnt get injuried will be no1 for Euro 2004
