First, sorry for my english and the long topic, I would be glad to hear your impressions...

I'm a fan of the WE/PES series, the best football game ever.
But, maybe in a too much pessimistic hype, in certain ways I fear that newest version that's going to arrive... I mean, from the beta videos I've seen bits of improvement that don't justify a new WEx series. I agree with if you think that's too early and time will tell the truth (Konami never disappointed me, roster question aparts - a minor flaw) but for now - still waiting the product - I can't get excited in the wait like past PES2. What do you think about? How do you feel about this new chapter?

And, another topic that sounds very interesting to me (I know that can be a marginal aspect, but real soccer it's also made of this) is the crowd. I get real sad thinking that in the 2000's years NO ONE at Konami thinked on how to implement a REAL soccer crowd. Not the seated one (that i've seen from the videos a little improved), but a REAL chanting and rumbling crowd.
I think that soccer is made of crowd, home / away sensations, thrills and pathos, the noises and chants are changing according to the match, ranking position of the teams, match importance, how the play in the field is going, what teams are playing.
I'm still thinking that with the current technologies implementing that wouldn't be a pain... Just my cents...

Oh, apart this and to be fully honest, I think that the most valuable aspect in a soccer game it's still GAMEPLAY and AI, so consider this questions like "secondary" aspects...

I would definitely like to see a better looking crowd in WE7. The crowd in WE6/PES2 was poor in regard to graphics and they seemed to move in slow motion. I was ok with the crowd sound mostly although random shouts of "you suck" and "get up you big pussy" would add to the realism,lol!

I think the chants in WE6FE/PES2 (unpatched) were almost non-existent compared to previous WE/PES.
From the video of WE7 it looks like they have improved them. You can hear the Japan fans singing "Nippon Nippon !"
I remember reading an interview Seabass of Konami was talking about improving the game's crowd atmosphere this time around.
If you notice in the video, when the ball gets near the goal the crowd increases the volume ! :D
Good things in IMO.
Plus there will be supporters leaving the stadium if the team is playing crap or losing.

One thing I don't like in WE right now is that when your team scores a goal, even the Opponent's supporters are jumping up and down ... :crazyboy:
I hope they improve some of the crowd graphics also, but I hope they focus on the gameplay as usual :)
