We're pretty proud to release this one. But being honest : AYD did this one 100% himself. So all honours go straight to AYD.

Based on his knowledge, I've tried to make a tool to upgrade stadiums from Fifa2002 to Fifa2003. It works pretty well already so expect more stadiums comming real soon.

Also UCL patch is in his final lane before release. She's a real beauty believe me.

First one will be : Fenix stadium from RC Genk (Bel).

Yeah! I thought that too. It'll be pretty nice.
I remember at the middle of FIFA 2002, when I used to get into FIFA ECP (once a month) just to look at those AMAZING Stadiums!
Really good work guys!

Fantastic work guys. Stadiums have been a real miss this time around and although it's great to see one done it's even better to see it made so well.

BTW Pete did you know that EA have just released New original stadiums for Wolfsburg, Celtic, Roma, Torino, Milan, Chelsea, Anderlecht and Paris in the FIFA2002. It would be great to get those ones converted if your tool does the business. I've got some SS of Wolfsburg, Celtic, Chelsea, Anderlecht and Paris if you want them.

I'd like to see some sceenshots of those stadiums. You say they released them for Fifa 2002? Some kind of update than? Why don't they make more stadiums for 2003 than? Or did I read it wrong or am I just stupid (I hear that more :) )

They are TCM2003 stadiums released this week. I'll post some SS here just now but if the FIFA ECP would prefer me to remove them then I'll take them away again;)

Its ok mate !

BUT : I dont think we can do anything with them. I knew they were released. We use Fifamanias G2002 RAV files. The Original fifa2002 and TCM2003 files are different formats.

Unless AYD says different, I dont think we can strip those files.

Pete

Pete, I haven't used G2002 RAV files and know very little about stadium-building (I really am stretching the "very little" to the limits:) ). I thought they were the same format because we use soccergaming FIFA2002 stadiums in TCM.
Anyway, if you can both build stadiums of St James Park from scratch at that quality then you won't need to strip anything;) Great job, looking forward to more.

I totally agree with the great work there, guys. Makes a person happy that we can at least make something new in the way of more stadiums. :D

As for getting off your butt, Pete, I have to side with Hakeem here, let's have it and soon, please. This will mean a new day for a lot of stadium makers, even I might get back into this field after Fifa 2000.....but was too lazy as I couldn't figure out how to do it properly...but if it becomes available I might force myself off my ass and do some work...... :mrpimp:

And where are the flags? and the away crowd?

By the way I love the stadium ;)

If there is a tool to convert, then I might have to look at doing Goodison Park, so you can have Home AND Away derbys...

The day version of St James is great, good work :) I will have to look at the night version now.

Hey Rhizome,

How are you dude ?!
I hope all is ok.

To everyone, make stads in the old Fifa2002 fashion.
WE CAN UPGRADE THEM. And soon with an ECP tool more people will be able to do it easily. The tool we have now covers 1 part of the upgrade. We will release a tool when we expand it to the whole proces (if possible).

There is one different approach in making a 2002-stadium for 2003 use, make sure ALL your textures fit into one texture of 512x512 pixels.

Rhizome, if you want to do Goodison park, and you do it with that quality of your anfield, then ECP will surely upgrade it ASAP its ready.

Greetz,
RP

PS : Thank AYD !! he's the wizzard who found it all (based on Fifamania's technologie, we're very honest in that !).

For ECP\Realpete...

I downloaded the Reebok Stadium, itself converted from TCM2003 to fifa 2002, and it looks great, but I wanted to attempt a conversion to Fifa2003 with no luck!! (Not nearly clever enough!)

I have the file I can send if you want to try this stadium, Id love to try it out in Fifa 2003.

RealPete
18-06-2003, 01:50:PM
@ Corky

The trouble is the same as the new TCM stadiums. Yea we all can PLAY them in Fifa2002. But nobody was able to edit them !
Why ? Because they are different files then FifaMania's G2002 files.
Thats also the reason why we can't upgrade them to 2003.

I hope its clearer now.

RP

And on a similar note, this stadium will be included in the CL patch due to be released very soon.....

And Newcastle will play in it!

@RealPete- Crafty EA:rolleyes:
The FIFA and TCM devs are working closer together now so hopefully in future releases the stadiums might be made to the same format- hopefully you might get some proper tools to work with.
Just at a game at St James(day)- looks terrific :)

Hi Pete

Just getting my way back into Fifa, haven't really looked at it for 6 months or so, too many other things plus PC hassles. But I will see what I can do with Goodison. I noticed that there were not too many textures in the St. James file, so again will see what I can do. btw I am choosing Goodison, because Everton did so well in the EPL and it will complement the Anfield for those who play the derby games. Then will look at Man City. Have to go and re-download all the old Fifa2002 tools now, gone in my last reformat.

One question though: what about the crowds? Are they done the same way as in 2002? Should I use the ECP crowd generator?

PerfectGame

Which stadium does it overwrite?

RealPete

@ Rhizome

Crowds work differently then in 2002.
But we've adapted the ECP-Crowdmaker to 2003.

So don't worry about it :rockman:

:( Why do you guys made the stadium at the place of Santagio Bernabeu? :( If you made it in place of one of the generic Stadiums it would be downloaded more!

ikkenenderikke
18-06-2003, 04:02:PM
Euhm, can't you just rename it so it overwrites another stadium like in Fifa 2002? Or is that not possible in 2003?

RealPete
18-06-2003, 04:27:PM
Guys, chill,

We picked that stadium bc we liked the pitch for St-James.
NO you can't rename it !

BUT : just copy the bernabeue in some backup folder for now.
Its all pointed out in the installer, so read it.

ECP Enhancer is set to be released together with the UCL-ECP-Patch.
This tool will make it possible to replace bernabeu with St-James when you play with St-James (example : homematch from Newcastle).

For the oldskool guys the tool works like good old FifaFX with many more features.

Have fun,
RP

RealPete
18-06-2003, 06:01:PM
Dragon,

Our newly developed ECP Enhancer (by another ECP-wizzard Hercules) has much more features then XPerience. You'll see all details soon when the tool is released.

It simply enables to make a complete different patch over Fifa without touching Fifa itself. As you guys will soon witness with UCL ECP patch, you'll not recognise Fifa, but when you quit the patch you have your normal FIFA back.

Yeah, it was never completely finished, I still needed to do some work on the corners of the ground. But I think it was about 95% there. Since there is already an Anfield in 2003, I think I will leave it as is, and worry about doing a new one. If I can get Goodison and Man CIty done reasonably soon, then I might take another look at Anfield.

Also, if anyone has some good pictures of Goodison Park, they will be gratefully received. My e-mail is rhizome17@hotmail.com. Cheers.
