That's a really good team!

My best GK has 2 for Goalkeeping :(

Help?

That's a damn good team! All you need is just to buy 2 decent defenders with tackling about 5 and you should be on your way to glory(H) .

Excellent. :)

You mean try to earn some cash first and then buy defenders? I'd rather not have to sell my top players (it seems I have a lot of offense already and I'd like to keep it that way). :D

Yes, just earn some extra cash from friendlies and buy 2-3 defenders but make sure that you have not overpaid for then. Half the players value or a little bit less than that would be the right price. And try to find good defenders and not those that have let's say 1 stamina, 3 experience and 5 tackling. Because they will be bad then.

Oh, yeah i almost forgot. Sell 1 or 2 of your worst players, like Duhamel and Hutchison, they won't be playing anyways and make an asking price of just 100 of your ratio, so that you will get some money, usually the offers rise big 15-20 before the deadline, that's the most exciting time for the sellers:p .

I'll look into it. Thanks.

BTW, whats the difference between a challenge and a friendly? I set up about 6 "challenges", Home and Home sets against the other teams in my division...

:S

You challenge someone to play a friendly.

Make sure you challenge teams to double games, 1 at home and 1 away so you both make some money.

Challenge and a friendly is the same thing. And you mean home and away sets? Because if you ask to play a team twice at home he will reject it.

yeah...well its home and home / home and away / away and away depenidng on what team your referring to...meh.

anyways i played 2 friendlies so far but drew one 2-2 and lost one 0-1. kind of disappointing considering i had a superior team...maybe my tactics are set poorly?

Expand the stadium a bit at the rate of 75 23 2 and build a few buildings for the stadium altogether for about 80k. Then i think you should try to get some really good defender for 100k, with 6-7 tackling and lots of other good ratings, try looking at the transfer list, you could find some good there. Or try to buy 2 good defenders for 60-80k each with 5-6 tackling and lots of other balls. Usually the right price is about half less than the players market value. I would recommend to hire 1-2 youth players. But the main thing is try to buy 2-3 good defenders offering a price for half of his value and expand the stadium with some buildings. You are right now in Division 4 in Canada i think, so if you will have a 4000-5000 stadium capacity, it will be filled for the league games and will bring you about 70-80k per home game. Build some buildings like 1 hotdog stands, 1 hospital etc but not many just a very few. Don't forget about the ratio of 75% terraces 23 Sitting and 2 VIP stands that will bring the biggest capacity possible. And of coarse keep an eye on your weekly expense. Plus keep in mind that you get 17k from your sponsor every week, so that will help you calculate how much money will be taken from you every week.

alright...i have 2000 terrace at the moment, building 57 VIP and about 630 seating, along with a hotdog stand and a souvenir shop..total cost about 72K CAD IIRC.

also bid on these two guys...one for $190K CAD and the other for $26K CAD....seems like good value if I can get them but I have a hunch that they'll go at higher prices.

25-06-2003, 06:54:AM
oh...and sadly i only made $5600 for my one home game so far.....:( whats up with that?

The guys you are bidding for aren't worth the money...they are too old, and will probably retire soon.

Help?
25-06-2003, 06:01:PM
Yes, the 29 year old could be a good buy and still has 4-5 seasons in him but the 33 year old will retire in 1-2 seasons. So if somebody outbidded you on the 33 year old, then don't try to get him, better look for somebody else. And for you home game. That's how much people usually come for home friendlies, i have a 4025 seat stadium and i get an average of 7100 CAD, plus i have some facilities, so for me it's 10k everyday. The home friendlies will never be filled but the league games will have a lot. SO 5600 CAD is not bad, build a bigger stadium and try to get promoted and you will have more fans coming, plus the overall rating on your team page will also bring some more fans if you will go higher.

Bluecoaster

33 will lose his balls...he has already started with it, so he wont be that good soon.

Well the 29 year old is still up for bids for some time but I think someone outdid me on the other guy...he's not in my bid list and isnt' in transfer history, as well my cash hasn't changed. oh well back to the transfer list.

actually , old players like him don't need to get worse and degrade , just take them off the training field that way , they basically stay at what they have ... a little tip from ash on an old thread a while ago

Help?
25-06-2003, 10:03:PM
Oh, yes. Siyan. When you see a player, that you really want, then you can just press the player monitoring button on his profile, that way you can keep track of him and you will be able to see him in your clubhouse under that same name - player monitoring. It's like a shortlist in real life.

Airdyaniodicani
02-07-2003, 07:51:PM
i'd say sell number 2 and or number 3 , you'll get out of debt no problem with them on the market if you start with a resonable starting price
