I have purchased Figo, Ronaldinho, Hasselbaink. My starters also have Beckham, Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Barthez, John O'Shea, Lee Johnson, Wes Brown, and Rio Ferdinand... Yet I keep losing to crappy squads like Tottenham, and Fulham, and some Division 1 teams. Also, I can't win a single game against big time teams like Milan, Juve, Real, and even Valencia!!! Any idea what's up?:(

you can't be successful by buying a bunch of big name stars then fielding them... just look at Real Madrid in real life :p you need a good tactic, man... if you're really desperate, download one from the internet

That's exactly what I tried to do, I tried mixing them up in different positions, I changed team instructions, I have changed the formation, and all that stuff. Now that i haved brought some young talent to the squad I beat the small teams but the Champs League I have no luck whatsoever. And as far as Gangsta Rap goes, it's really sad that you have to base your life on trying to make others feel bad (not that you did). In case it didn't get through your thick skull I was asking for advice not the level of my gameplay.

dude, find some CM sites on the internet, download some decent tactics off them and apply it to ur squad. for starters, it's recommended that u should download a so-called WWW tactic. u will immedeiately have a taste of sucess. dont forget to learn the tricks from the tatics, tho, so in the future u can make urself a good tatic on ur own.

Changing tactics constantly wont help you. It takes at least 3 or 4 games for a tactic to get going i believe, first couple of games are ordinary but after that, you go pretty sweet.

I downloaded PB3, im sure most users are familuar with that, well i edited that one, i took away a striker, and added an extra midfielder to make it 2-1-4-1-2 if you know what i mean.

Yeah, you need to give your players time to gel with each other and the tactic.

Maybe the players your buying aren't working well together or something maybe a low squad morale

But onto my next question can any of you recommend a good method of finding good young players? I assigned scouts to youth leagues but they come up with like 4 or 3 players every time. Are there any players you guys recommend getting? I'm only in year 2006 and some of my star players (Ruud, Keane, Giggs, Beckham, Figo) are in their 30's. Only Ronaldinho is a star who's in his 20's. Or is there another way of looking for them? Thanks.

Ok, and while I'm at it I guess I'll just add a couple more questions. Why is it that every time I try to buy a big name player he rejects a move to the Theatre of Dreams? Is there any way to make my place a bit more appealing to him? Then, how come whenever other teams buy players they get him for what he is valued but whenever I try to buy the same player I have to bring the price almost twice his value in order for them to accept it. Then, why is it in the past couple of months in the game the management is not giving me any money? I have around 1.6 mil all the time but no matter who I sell I still can't get any money. My players are getting older and older and I can't get any new talent.

u might apply ur football knowledge in the realy world to find some decent young players in the game. e.g. Van der Vaart, Joe Cole, Cisse etc. they are young and very famous in real world as well as in the game. however, if u dont know any, dont waste ur time and send scout to youth leagues. they will only find u crappy players. u'd better just send ur scouts to different nations or regions. they will find u many good players(young or old). if these dont work for u, then look for some CM sites, they should have a sorted list of promising young players.

1. Win some more trophies to make ur club more appealing. but your situation is pretty normal when the player u want is happy at their club. to solve this problem, whenever u see a great player, even though u might not need him at the moment, simply add him to your short list. this way, whenever these players are running out of contract or unhappy at their club or for whatever reason they want to leave the club, u will be properly informed and thus when u make a bid lower than their actual value u might as well lure them away successfully. this can save u loads of money and sometimes u can even get them for free by offering him a contract when his contract is going to run out in 6 months.

2. how much money did u get by selling those players in total? 1 ~ 2 million wont help much. try buy players in the summer. by winning some trophies u should have more money to spend by the time. also, though it might be a bit risky, in case u need to recruit ur squad very desperately and lack money, sell ur big stars before u buy. by selling the likes of becks and giggs u should get much more transfer funds available.

Yea, I sold Figo but I couldn't get much for him since some of his attributes went into single digits after a couple of games, but anywho I won the FA Cup and the Premiership and I still didn't get more money, but I applied the 3-5-2 with Giggs and Becks up the sides and Ronaldinho (he's GREAT) as the playmaker and that seems to be working. But I have one last question. Why is it that Ruud scores around 40-45 goals for me every season yet players like Crespo and Montella win the World and Fifa player of the Year when they score only like 20-25 goals? And the only person who actually wins an award like the World Footballer is Barthez who constantly wins European GK of the Year. Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the help.

nah seriously, it's not ur problem. players won that by luck. Scholes once won Eropean midfileder of the year by playing about 10 games in a whole season in my game.:rolleyes:

ya, usually players that have had past success win it for some reason, even if they suck... it's pretty unfair, and it happens to me a lot... but I think sometimes it's based on their performances in certain competitions (European, International, etc.) but I could be wrong
