What are people's opinions of the best goal of last years World Cup?. I personally think Bergkamp's goal was the best, then Owen's.

DEFINITELY my man Pierra Njanka vs. Austria!!!!!! He comes from right back and dekes like five guys, cuts inside and blasts it home. I was crying in my living room I was so excited. Too bad Song screwed them in the last minute.

For me the best was the Mustafa Hadji vs Norway on first day of the world cup.

Owen's goal was very good but it leaves you thinking what the hell was the Argentina defense doing letting him run away like that.

Only goal you mention that I didn't think was great was Rivaldo's. Schmeichel should have saved it, it was a terrible show by him to get beat on that shot.

Dennis Bergkamp's late goal was a stunner, the best of WC 98 in my opinion. Also the english stars, Owen's dazzling run, and Beckham's stunning free-kick were beauts, and of the first-round, Hadda and hadji of MOR, against NOR, Oliseh's smasher against Spain, and Raul's smasher against Nigeria, and of course Njanka's goal was superb.

Ajax, yep Bergkamp`s control was phenominal, a great goal for a magnificent player.
