For more news on Howard.
Run DMB 12-07-2003, 09:03:PM FINALLY! Congrats to Timmy and the best of luck to him at Man United.
As for the MetroStars... yeah they're pretty much screwed right now. They wanted to get Cannon but San Jose asked for Ricardo Clark in exchange.
The next time you see Eddie Gaven in goal... it might be for real. :crazyboy:
syaz_wan03 12-07-2003, 09:13:PM is he 3rd US keeper....?? us is developer of qulity keepers:hump: but i'm sad with the US politics board.......always war:( :o
GoHawks4 12-07-2003, 10:12:PM The rank of US keepers is kinda screwed up, but I'd say it's soemthing like this:
1. Brad Friedel (Blackburn Rovers FC)
2. Kasey Keller (Tottenham Hotspur FC)
3. Tim Howard (MetroStars)
4. Adin Brown (New Endland)
5. Nick Rimando (DC United)
shokz 12-07-2003, 11:02:PM A year from now..
1. Timmeh
2. Brad Friedel
3. Kasey Keller
Bobby 12-07-2003, 11:32:PM He still has a LONG way before he catches Brad Friedel, Brad may be in the top 5 in the world.
xxxFLYERxxx 13-07-2003, 01:12:AM Once the Metrostars get Eddie Pope and Jolley back they will be fine.

Nick Rimando sucks.
Bobby 13-07-2003, 10:20:AM I'd say:
1. Brad Friedel (Blackburn Rovers FC)
2. Kasey Keller (Tottenham Hotspur FC)
3. Tim Howard (MetroStars)
4. Adin Brown (New Endland)
5. Joe Cannon (Out of contract -- NY/NJ soon?)
6. Nick Rimando (DC United)
During the european season (until now)
1. Tim Howard
2. Adin Brown/Nick Rimando
3. Nick Rimando/Adin Brown
(now, i'd say)
1. Adin Brown
2. Nick Rimando
3. Zach Thornton? (Chicago Fire)
We're pretty stocked in the GK department
PScott 13-07-2003, 10:32:AM Rimando might be good(though i dont think so), he gives up the softest effing goals just about every week. Including this week.
Bobby 13-07-2003, 10:43:AM For anyone who hasen't seen Zach Thornton, i'll just say look at the ball in his hands, that's a big guy....

He does look well built, like a rugby player/professional wrestler I must say, the size of those hands, he will squeeze that ball.
