Be sure to watch this Saturday's(7/11) New England v Metrostars game on ESPN2 because it will be Tim Howard's last game in MLS before transfering to Manchester United.

His work permit appeal was approved by the board and the official announcement is expected to come Monday.

FINALLY! Congrats to Timmy and the best of luck to him at Man United.

As for the MetroStars... yeah they're pretty much screwed right now. They wanted to get Cannon but San Jose asked for Ricardo Clark in exchange.

The next time you see Eddie Gaven in goal... it might be for real. :crazyboy:

The rank of US keepers is kinda screwed up, but I'd say it's soemthing like this:

1. Brad Friedel (Blackburn Rovers FC)
2. Kasey Keller (Tottenham Hotspur FC)
3. Tim Howard (MetroStars)
4. Adin Brown (New Endland)
5. Nick Rimando (DC United)

He still has a LONG way before he catches Brad Friedel, Brad may be in the top 5 in the world.

Once the Metrostars get Eddie Pope and Jolley back they will be fine.

I'd say:

1. Brad Friedel (Blackburn Rovers FC)
2. Kasey Keller (Tottenham Hotspur FC)
3. Tim Howard (MetroStars)
4. Adin Brown (New Endland)
5. Joe Cannon (Out of contract -- NY/NJ soon?)
6. Nick Rimando (DC United)

During the european season (until now)
1. Tim Howard
2. Adin Brown/Nick Rimando
3. Nick Rimando/Adin Brown

(now, i'd say)
1. Adin Brown
2. Nick Rimando
3. Zach Thornton? (Chicago Fire)

We're pretty stocked in the GK department

Rimando might be good(though i dont think so), he gives up the softest effing goals just about every week. Including this week.

He does look well built, like a rugby player/professional wrestler I must say, the size of those hands, he will squeeze that ball.
