I bought Quaresma a couple of seasons ago for about 3.5mil and he has been a great buy. He is rated at 12,750,000 now and a class player. The problem is that his contract is 1 yr away from completion and the little blighter wants 80,000 a week for a new deal!! the Leeds board will only allow me to offer 36,000 as a max and he promptly rejected it.
So reluctantly i put him on the transfer market, no one seems to want him tho, i even lowered the asking price to 10mil but still no-one. Does the time spent on a loan count towards his current contract tho? because i've had 2 offers for a 6 month loan but i rejected them because if i can sell him i can certainly use him in the mean time.
So am i resigned to a Kewell situation with this guy? letting him go for pittance or a bosman? or can i salvage something out of it yet?

Yep, the time spent on loan is counted on his contract. Why don't you try offering him a relegation release clause or bigger goal and assist bonuses

what u do is keep him till his contract runs out, then when it runs out..........

give him a FREE transfer............

then as he is available for a free quickly snap him up for nothing
and he will only want lower terms as he is a free agent

hope that no one comes in for him aswell so as soon as u release him buy him back asap

OR ask ur board for for more wage funds? bit risky but depends on ur league postion!

offer him £36,000 a week + £20,000 appearance fee, + £2,000,000 signing on fee + 30% wage rise.. see if that gets him to sign.

Or just change his status to indispensible and offer him a higher wage.
