View Full Version : The Chelsea Thread :-)

Well with all the exciting news goin on at Stamford Bridge now constantly I thought I’d make this thread for us Chelsea fans to talk about wot is goin on at the club. Talk about REALISTIC possible transfers which could go through, not just speculations from papers and unreliable web sites. Also talk about possible line ups we could have lookin at players very likely to come in and the ones already there!

Well today has been a very promising day, with us finally agreeing a fee with Blackburn for Damien Duff, with him flying to London tomorrow to talk terms. This would be an awesome signing for us!

Also today Southampton Chelsea have made an improved offer for Wayne Bridge, again this would be a great signing for us and its lookin pretty likely aswell. Chairman Rupert Lowe said it is out of their hands and down to Wayne whether this transfer goes through!

I hope Ranieri stays the manager of Chelsea. I certainly hope we don’t get Eriksson! I think Ranieri is the man for the job, he’s certainly gonna have some expectation now to get big trophies.

Like he says we certainly still need a BIG central midfield player if we are gonna do well in the bigger competitions in the new season.

There is also speculation revolving around Mark Viduka from cash strapped Leeds. Although a very good goal scorer I am not sure if he is the striker for us! His agent seems to want him at Chelsea though! He is reported to have said that he is sending a tape with footage of goals scored by Viduka!

Well lookin at the promising transfers and players we already got I think this looks like a team for next season so far

GK Cudicini

LB Le Saux/Bridge
CB Terry
CB Gallas
RB Melchiot/Johnson

LM Duff
CM Lampard
CM Geremi
RM Gronkjaer

ST Cole
ST Hasselbank

If we got a really good central midfielder in, which I think we will, then I think Geremi and Gronkjaer will be battling together for the position on the right hand side

Also, who would you like to see leave Stamford Bridge if anyone?

Well the players I’d definitely like to see leave are Petit, Zenden and Stanic!
I would also like to see Hasselbank leave. I put him in my possible Chelsea team though as he does still have the capabilities to score goals, but I’d rather us to get someone a little younger in and sell him as he doesn’t seem to have the attitude!

Excellent, one of my favourite players has left Real Madrid!, I wanted him to be at Boro though :(, best of luck at Chelski.

I couldn't care less if Sven left England, but Claudio Ranieri is damn good manager.

Eidur had a good year and Hasselbank didnt. Hopefully Zola's influence is not missed too much. :o

Eidur is the ****ing man!! I love that Icelandic dude, especially after witnessing the magic he pulled vs leeds in that fantastic match in January. Eidur Gudjohnsen will become a star!

Don't believe everything you read in the newspapers, but Chelsea have enquired about Veron(asking for a price).

The future is bright, the futures BLUE!!!

Ok, now buying Veron could be an awesome move or a horrible waste of money, if he does play well then he could be exactly what we need.

But we must keep Ranieri as manager, hes very good

Eidur is a very skillful player, but i jsut wouldnt have him starting, i think Cole needs to start gettin regular first team footy coz of his great potential, i think he needs a big name up there with him though, i hope it isnt gonna be Hasselbank!

If you want to win Throphys you cant rely on someone who isnt expierenced or hasnt developed to a level that will be good enough. Im sure in the future Cole will get that level but at the moment he isnt and would become a weakness to the team if he did.

To win Trophies you need to start with youre best 11 when ever posible. Prehaps use him as a syb and build him up to it.

Rooney over Henry and Kluivert?!

Well... if Eriksson's the manager... :crazyboy:

I think a playmaker to help fill Zola's role is needed. Someone like Aimar, who is apparently available.

Rooney to leave Everton?

Dr Evil Quote:

"How 'bout NO!!! - ok?! - You crazy Russian bastard!" :crazyboy:

Seriously though...

ROONEY WILL NOT LEAVE EVERTON FOR ANOTHER PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB DIRECTLY!!!

I bet my life on it!

(In other words, he will NOT go from Everton to Chelsea, but MAY go from Everton to Real Madrid then to Chelsea!)

I am really pleased to see Forsell is back. I thought they had sold him, but I now see it was just a loan. IMO he is a great potential and essential part of the team.

Duff is in, 2 signings in the space of 24 hours.

Johnson, Geremi, Bridge, Duff. Great. (H)

I just hope that this Abramovich guy doesnt spend all the money on transfer, otherwise, they will just get in debt in a blink of an eye.

Abramovic is a multi billionaire so I doubt that will happen. I'd like to see a big name star from Spain or Italy or somewhere next, someone like Vieri.

Why not buy Zidane, Raul, Ronaldo - Real Madrid can't stop him. :p

Just offer £120m for Ronaldo, thats probably well higher than his actual Minimum release clause :crazyboy:
