View Full Version : FIFAFANATIC - Two points and a question about MLS2000 Patch...

fifafanatic,

Two points:

1) Hopefully it isn't too late to do this, but PLEASE include Khodadad Azizi on the San Jose Earthquakes in the patch, since he is now a member of the team in real life!

2) I'm not sure whether or not the MLS teams in the patch will have their sponsor's logo on the backs, but in case they do: the Earthquakes' sponser is no longer Honda, but now Yahoo! (which makes sense, since Yahoo! is headquartered in nearby Santa Clara http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif ).

And now a question:

Do I understand this correctly? The 128-color option will recognize kit-clashing while the 64-color option won't... but the 64-color option has more realistic kit colors than the 128-color option? Is that how it is, or did I mix it up?

Goodsport,

I take it you haven't visited the MLS2000 site? http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Fear not, the MLS rosters are still being updated. So you will find Azizi in the San Jose squad.
Our MLS kit developer has already finished the MLS kits. No sponsers were added since there are no photos of any kits with sponsers, but the kits look great without them!
64color kits use a fixed 64colors that can't be changed, because of this the game can't recognize kit clashing. The MLS2000 kit developer fixed the jerseys so they have the correct colors. Thats whats good about 128color kits, because it uses the primary, secondary, and teriatary colors as well as the fixed 64colors. But people prefer 64color kits, for this the MLS site has a download page of 64color kits and soon a 128color kits

128color kits can recognize kit clashing, but there are instances that it doesn't.

As you know, EA Sports released FIFA2000 full of bugs. Even the game has difficulty recognizing kit clashing when two teams use the same in game colors.

Goodsport,

Just wanted to say congarats on getting Azzizi. He should help you guys big time and I think it was a great addition by the league. Wish my Metrostars would have gotten him LOL. Oh well at least Lothar should be here today.

Good luck during the season.

Stick with the 128 for MLS2000, but if you don't mind wearing your home jersey away then use the 64 (The San Jose 64 uses the exact color blue, while the 128 uses the in game blue that is real close to the original blue, both are excellent!). People have said that 64color kits are better because they're more realistic, but our MLS2000 kit developer has created some 128kits that I believe rank up there with the top 64 or 128 color kits on the net! You'll see for yourself on Monday http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

p.s. have you seen the screenshots of MLS2000? No MLS update for FIFA compares to this one! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks, fifafanatic! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

I forgot to tell you, but hopefully you got it anyways: I had originally said that San Jose's road jersey had blue vertical stripes, but found out later that the vertical stripes are black (just like the home jersey, except that the middle part of the road jersey is white, unlike the blue of the home jersey).

Are the vertical stripes the correct color in the patch? http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

<< But people prefer 64color kits, for this the MLS site has a download page of 64color kits and soon a 128color kits >>

Why do people prefer the 64 color kits?

Which of the two should I download, the 64 color kits or the 128 color kits? Normally I would think 128, but is there a reason why I would want the 64 ones instead?

ezio,

Thank you. I'm glad that Azizi came to the Earthquakes.

And guess which two teams will meet on April 8th for our Home Opener (here's a hint: it should be a Matthäus-Azizi WC '98 rematch)? http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

fifafanatic,

Excellent patch! Now it's fun to play MLS in FIFA 2000 again!

Two points, though:

1) Things are still moving fast and furious in the MLS roster front (in real life), with Eddie Lewis of the Earthquakes just being sold to Fulham in England, Hristo Stoikov coming to Chicago, and perhaps David Regis (or another good player) coming to the Earthquakes soon. Hopefully a roster update can come soon after all the dust settles. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

2) I'm not 100% sure, but I think that Bic is no longer a sponser with MLS. Again, I'm not absolutely sure about that.

Awesome patch! Are the 128 color kits included in the patch or the 64 color kits?
