It's official, Chelsea have now signed Wayne Bridge from Southampton. I was expecting this, but not so quickly. Unfortunately, the deal sees one of Chelsea's longest serving players leaving to Southampton as a part exchange: Graeme Le Saux will play for Chelsea no longer. It is a shame to see him leave but we are now spoilt for choice in that Left Back position. Aswell as Le Saux, Chelsea are rumoured to have paid around £5m for Bridge.

I dont think we are quite ready to challenge for the League Title, but a god CL position would be nice and maybe even a domestic cup.

I think Chelsea can challenge for the league.

Man Utd - Who were they going to sign again?
Arsenal - Could still do it, but it doesn't look good
Liverpool - Maybe, but i don't think so
Newcastle - They have the tools, but really lose it sometimes

Liverpool: Got the same chance as last year
Chelsea: a little better, but doesn't guarantee the league, only switches places with Newcastle.
Newcastle: switches with Chelsea
Arsenal: have a pretty good chance if they sign a good keeper, but it seems very hard and i think that they would have to settle for a Tranmere Utd's Kaven.
Man Utd: definetly not as good as last year for now, but if Ferguson signs what he promised, then they will be the favourites again.

My top 5 prediction:
If Arsenal buy an improved keeper like Canizares or Cordoba and United buy nobody, then:
Arsenal
United
Chelsea
Newcastle
Liverpool

If Arsenal doesn't buy anybody and United buys a good player that was promised, then:
United
Arsenal
Chelsea
Newcastle

Its a great buy. I like Babayaro just as much as Bridge so i dont knwo who i would choose for left back.

Anyone think that Zenden will leave? He was linked with Inter and Lazio a few weeks ago.

Arsenal Chelsea Newcastle and Man U will challenge for the title i think any of them can win but i think if Viera and Henry stay fit for the whole season we will win

bridge should be playing...... they would not buy him if they didnt want him to play....

about the arsenal thing....
arsenal will definitely finish outside top two if they cannot:
1.get suitable replacements for first-team players
2.good goalkeeper
3.relax about the situation of their financial problems....

and they cannot even win the title if vieira and henry play the whole season....it all depended on the whole team.... not a few players...... remember the OT match in december.... both were playing.....but they did not win or score....

True. But if Vieira and Henry will stay full fit on top of their form, i will admit that they will be atleast in top 2.
