This is quoted from Blizzard press release for the delay of Diablo II, I feel that attitude is critically needed by EA Sports.
They really need to finallize their product before releasing it.

We have worked hard for many years building this trust, and, as we have promised before, will not take development shortcuts at the expense of disappointing our customers. "
