In that case it won't happen. It's like a big plot to turn MLS into another EPL Retirement home...

it will still happen regardless of what the plot is....its nice in America so people will want to play here and since its not as demanding, giggs in whatever amount of years will still be able to play in the MLS and contribute but not the EPL....

I see Giggs coming to the US when he is about 32 and about average speed... oh boy  (H)

i'd love to see giggs come here and play. i wouldn't be surprised to see more do so. i mean, who wouldn't want to live here? hahaha.

as good as it is for publicity for the mls, it's a bad thing at the same time though. they can't just keep sheltering older and retiring players. they need to keep doing their own thing and letting young americans play. it'll be interesting though.

yes of course....but its not like we are not gonna stop producing players b/c other players are coming from different coutries....cant be a bad thing....not like having them is gonna deter the way the MLS and American soccer develops

True...but, if older well-known stars from overseas continue to come and play, they will take the attention away from the young stars in the the league. They are the ones that really deserve it, because their attention isn't based on a big name.

well they will just have to work harder ;)

Yeah, but I don't like the idea of washed-up players coming here for a playing holiday. At or close to their prime, I welcome them. Not when they come looking for an easy kick around and end up lowering the league's reputation.

yeah, definitly true....if the team is stupid enough to take the player its their fault....but some would still be able to play well and contribute to the MLS, which is the ones id want to see here

You have to ask yourself, what is Giggs' motivation for coming to MLS to play. If his heart is not into as was Nowaks or Stoichkov's then he can play somewhere else. If his heart is in it, then as the commercial says, "Welcome"

Also, one look at the league max payment and his decision would be set right then.:)

MLS, maybe NFL is more suitable for him

Id say 33+ would be the age that Giggs came to america

32 is the oldest we should take him, and then only to a two-year contract. And for no more then the league max salary! No under-the-table deals please. There have been enough failed star imports to MLS that we should be weary of such a move.

good to see he has high aspirations....dont think it will happen yet though....i have no idea on where he could move to and how he would do....i just hope the best for any American player moving to europe or just to another league

He needs to go to Spain. Any other top European league I can see him going out with a career-ending injury, but not in La Liga. Even if it's not with Braca, I hope he plays in Spain in the future.

yea he needs to go to spain. the premiership and serie a will destroy him. he needs to put on some weight though. dude looks so fragile and weak and falls down all the time.

but i hope he does well. he's improved more than any other american player since the world cup in my opinion. and he can play left midfield, which is a plus for him. good luck to him.
