View Full Version : Players to look out for in the new season
mufc_daddy 31-07-2003, 08:27:AM Transfers are taking place and speculation is boiling. New faces are something i always like to see. So who can we look out for this season in your country's league or any league worldwide?
I think Ronaldinho will be great in Spain but i think he would have more of an impact if he had of joined United because he would embarass so many more players.
I think Kewell will have a great season playing for a stronger club.
I also look forward to seeing Aliadere fgrom Arsenal playing because he is a very promising youngster.
If Kleberson joins United i think he may add a bit of flare to Uniteds playing style even though he plays a bit more of an English style game.
Becks should be great at Real and also i think Joaquin will have an even better season no matter who he plays for.
tottiiii 31-07-2003, 08:30:AM Chivu will be voted best foreign player in Serie A while helping Roma win the Scudetto :D

mufc_daddy 31-07-2003, 08:32:AM HAHA i'm not sure about winning the scudetto but maybe coming close. I think Roma need more fiure power (Morientes)
tottiiii 31-07-2003, 08:34:AM i think they can win it....if no one really gets injured bad i think we will win....on paper we have probably the best players in their position...or at least close to the best....and well...im sure everyone thought Roma was gonna win the year they did
but its not a prediction thread so my fault
mufc_daddy 31-07-2003, 08:37:AM I think Chivu will learn a lot from Samuel who is commanding. Chivu will have a good year.
Bobby 31-07-2003, 08:49:AM Phillipe Senderos for Arsenal. The new centerback.
mufc_daddy 31-07-2003, 09:09:AM Yeh wholy Shi* i cant belive i forgot him. Very promising!
Jedi Mind Trick 31-07-2003, 09:18:AM definitely ronaldinho. personally i think he'll have a better impact in la liga than in the premiership. there in spain, he gets to do his little tricks with the ball and show off his dribbling skills and flair. hopefully there won't be a huge adjustment or learning curve. thing is, i'm more intrigued with quaresma. i've never seen him play, and he's been talked about a lot.
kewell...yea i'm looking forward to seeing what he does for liverpool. as for beckham, yea i'm excited to seeing what kind of impact he'll have. but i'm more interested in seeing how he changes or alters the team...or if he pisses off figo (that's if figo has to change positions).
finger 31-07-2003, 09:43:AM Franca at Leverkusen
In the pre-season, and under the new coach, he has been playing excellently, and has something like over a goal a game so far, in contrary to last season where he was accused of being lazy, so far he has shown a tendency to try right through the whole game.
Also Robson Ponte and Teddy Lucic, both at Bayer.

Jimbob 31-07-2003, 01:51:PM Anthony Le Tallec of Liverpool.
GreeningforEng! 31-07-2003, 02:44:PM I saw a lot of the Boro Youth Team's run through the FA Youth Cup to the final, and I saw some promising youngsters along the way, and I always think the best talent is homegrown...you'll get a lot more out of the teenager brought up through the youth ranks for nothing than you will from that multi-million pound 30 year-old you snooped from another big club
Larry 31-07-2003, 11:56:PM I cant wait to see if Chelsea will be a challnging team this year...
I want to see how they fare this year in the epl
Jedi Mind Trick 31-07-2003, 11:58:PM yea definitely looking forward to seeing how all the players gel and if they can establish chemistry.
also looking forward to seeing some of the korean players in europe (park jisung and lee youngpyo at psv, song chong gug at feyenoord, lee chunsoo at real sociedad, ahn jung hwan maybe?) and takahara at hamburg.
