So,

I'm working with my FCDB editor...get almost all of the Bundesliga up to date...and I get the dread "Kernel 32 error". I went out to the internet and downloaded a new kernel 32 dll...but my computer won't let me install. It says the kernell 32 is busy on an application...WTF!!!???

I can't even reinstall FIFA 2002 from the disc...any ideas what I should do? Will I have to install a new Kernel 32 dll? Does this right itself? I uninstalled the FCDB editor thinking that might be the problem...but no good. Any ideas?

Thanks,
mutiger

It seems to me like it's your FE folder found in the data/cmn directory, but I may be wrong, so here's what I recommend.

Back up your FE folder and put on the FE folder from the original FIFA 2002 CD. If the problem goes away then you know it's because you've done so much updating using FCDB, that you may have possibly corrupted some of the files, but I had this problem with FIFA 2001, do I don't know if 2002 will have this problem.

The problem seems to me that it's because of FCDB, and that program updates the FE folder files, so the logical explanation would be that the game cannot read these files and is confused...then again the game would usually load up then crash just before the match is about to start! :o

This is confusing, I'd try installing the new .dll files for sure, but back up the ones you have just in case. :) Unless you're sure everything will be ok if it doesn't help.

Hope I have helped you in some way mate,

Nick.
