View Full Version : what happened to custom teams!?
daymz 08-08-2003, 07:26:AM why has ea stopped allowing us to create our own teams and players!? are my brothers, friends and i the only ones who liked this feature!?:(
if you read this ea, PUT THE FEATURE BACK IN!!!:f***: why fill the disc with useless teams noone will ever use when you could enter a customization feature and use any team your mind can dream up!?
am i being cynical in thinkin that maybe they removed it because you could keep an old game up to date? for example, if you could customise then all you have to do is simply write over a relegated team with a promoted one. brilliant! i think fifa 2003 is a great game but it is totally useless to me now. ive kept up to date with transfers but the fact remains, i cant do anything about the same relegated teams i end up with in every new season i start. or the wrong promoted teams. this, relatively simple, feature would give such extra life to the game. especially with the xbox which can save TONS of information you enter.
ea, you owe the best possible value for money you can to your customers. support this post people! i love the fifa games but im losin my faith of late. and that really sucks.:(
QuikZilver 08-08-2003, 07:40:AM Do you live in Europe, well if you do you can create your own team in Total Club Manager and transport it to Fifa 2004.
This is call Football Fusion us American gamers will be screw again.
STML1 08-08-2003, 09:04:AM so for europe there is a creation centre for ps2 and for the states there isnt? if thats the case thats gay! dont know whay they would do that
brumbies00 08-08-2003, 09:07:AM the creation centre is in total club manager which isn't been released in usa. someone correct me if i'm wrong please
spootmasta 09-08-2003, 02:55:AM YA PUT IT IN, please?
x box, not jus computer
daymz 10-08-2003, 04:12:AM thanx for the replies lads.
ya, i live in ireland so ill definitely look into usin that game. thing is though, ive never actually heard of that game before. will it work with fifa 2003? ill probably buy fifa 2004 anyway but im just curious.
come on ea, hows about a reply from you!?;)
ILLnezz 10-08-2003, 09:43:AM Ea need to stop getting high off stupidity and dumbness, and put back the Create center back to the game, in every console
Goldfish 10-08-2003, 01:00:PM Now look at this! I've been off a few days, and what do I find at my return? MORE BAD NEWS ! :kader: Well thinking about it ... it's kinda obvious, that they removed the creation centre for inserting fusion. TCM will act as a GIGANTIC CREATION CENTRE ... and nothing more ... the bad thing is, that now Fifa like we liked it before costs the double, as the creation part of it is transferred in a totally different game ... TCM. Oh well .. now if you want to keep Fifa alive, you NEED TCM ... else you can't do a **** for what I've understood ... plain suckage. Double the prize with minimal effort! Great tactical move EA! :kader: Compliments!:kader: This will make you loose a slice of customers ... hope you realize that. If someone spends 350 kr for one game ... it's not obvious that they spend other 350 for an add on!!! HELL Who has 700 kr up to Christmas?

LoL Bring up the danish money dude!! :rockman:
daymz 11-08-2003, 06:08:AM great point goldfish.
how can they take away a great feature so blatantly!? well youve got it right, its a cash in. never mind the customer, our satisfaction isnt what counts apparently.
valioso 11-08-2003, 07:03:AM last year they didnt have creation center either.. so is not to include fusion... people want more leagues.. now you have a chance to play a game in fifa with the team you use in tcm.. and people still complain..
daymz 12-08-2003, 03:34:AM :kader:
it was a disappointment when it wasnt there in fifa 2003 aswell and the problem with the fusion thing is that its a cash in. a ploy so people who want that feature (i.e. just about everyone) will have to stump up the cash for both games. the fusion thing may be an interesting development but the original creation feature was far handier and more user friendly too. its just unneccesary tinkering with a quality formula.
as for all the other leagues, well ok i accept that theres nothing wrong with having them in the game. but in fairness, they could just pack it as a double disc or sell tcm separate at half price. what are the chances of that happening? i mean, you can get a creation centre for pc fifa 2003 for nothing yet us console owners have to pay through the nose for a feature we had for nothing in previous games in the same franchise! its makes me so ffffffffrickin' mad!!!:f***:
snake0000007 12-08-2003, 05:22:AM what if i play online against somebody that has futbol fusion. their dream team against simple with no stars gremio. it wont be fair for people outside europe.
STML1 12-08-2003, 05:36:AM im pretty sure the rosters wont be changin for anyone or at least for consoles (ps2 i mean no online for xbox lol) so the rosters should be set to default
QuikZilver 12-08-2003, 07:22:AM You will not be able to use any customize team or players. All Online games will be played on default mode. otherwise the game will be unstable.

I think the reason that people are complaining is that they are getting a little tired of EA not giving a sh*t about customer satisfaction. It has been clear for months that the majority of console owners really wanted the creation centre back in the game, and EA could do this quite easily while still keeping the fusion aspect. As has previously been noted, this is a blatant cash in by EA in order to sell more copies of TCM, an average game which is slaughtered in terms of gameplay by the likes of Championship manager. As FIFA is already one of the biggest selling games worldwide trying to juice more profits at the expense of consumers, many of whom have been supporting their product for years really bites! :kader:
flamehawk 12-08-2003, 01:46:PM *Cough* You guys have to be kidding me, True EA SPORTS probably did this for more profits but then for 2003 and before you weren't even able to add leagues etc. and now they let you port teams over from TCM, I don't see why you guys are complaining. And for teh people who call TCM crap and nothing compared to CM, you have to be kidding me. EA SPORTS GERMANY, is one of the best interms of customer satisfaction, they regularly view the TCM forums, and when we ask for a feature they listen for example lots asked for international management and they added it, we wanted a stadium editor we got it, and for last years game they released lots of patches and even editor, such as teh text mode editor.
I agree with flamehawk, in previous fifas all u were able to do was create players. and in this version of fifa 2004 U WILL ALSO be able to create players in game. So to complain about TCM has no point at all, as its adding a new feature never before in fifa. and were ull be able to do more than just create players.
and from what i understand the PC version will have a Creation center like 2003. downloadable im sure.

Yea,even for TCM 2003, our database editor was outside the game and was downloadable and at the same time cam with the game. Itz pretty good allowed you to do quite a lot of things, well atleast way better then the Creation Center.
daymz 13-08-2003, 08:15:AM you miss the point. :(
if it was a management game i was after then perhaps i would agree that the whole tcm thing is good progress. but im not after a management game! all i wanted was the creation feature which im sure they could squeeze onto the fifa 2004 disc or just add a second disc. cos thats all id buy it for. i dont know about you but i like creating my own teams and players, playin them against my mates teams and and seein how many goals my little daymz character can score! now i have to pay 60 euros for the privelege??? never.
ill just have to look elsewhere, maybe that codemasters game "club football" might be worth getting...

The TCM 2003 database editor was both available with the cd and downloadable, and this will probably be the same for 2004, and since it said in the features that FIFA 2004 and TCM 2004 will be using the same database, we can kinda assume that the editor will also be able to be used in FIFA.
say what you want, Football Fusion is kind of a good idea.
It allows Dision 2 or 1 teams to be swqueezed into the Premier leagues.
Any fan of Nationwide Fotty has got to love that.

ill have to take your word for all that flamehawk. any version of whatever game i get will be on xbox so i dont know a great deal about downloads and stuff. i dont have xbox live so if there is downloads for xbox then theyre no good to me either.
i dont know whether it will be better or not in the long run, i just feel really cheated is all.
by the way flamehawk, are you in any way associated with ea? just curious, you really seem to know your stuff.
