Anyone heard anything about the possibility of an NTSC to PAL patch being released for WE7?

I actually patched the game myself last night. I thought it was perfect right up until I went in game and the gameplay was considerably slower due to the conversion of the frame rate so hopefully someone can come up with a perfect patch!

cool, how did u do it? can u post the patch or send me a copy with instructions (culo@totalise.co.uk)

i played WE6 with a ntsc to pal patch and it also slowed down the game but i actually quite liked that (the default speed is too fast, imo)

Just use PS2 NTSC to PAL Vmode Xchanger, that will do the trick.

OK, thanks.

So if I have an original WE7 and want to play it on my PAL PS2 using the knife trick with Action Replay 2, what all do I need to do.

Is it enough to simply use CDRWIN to extract a .BIN and .CUE, use Vmode Exchanger to patch the .BIN, and then burn to CD?

Yep that should do the trick I think. I have a flip top but thats exactly what I did.

Hey culo,
The problem is solved! No need to patch the games just buy a PS2RGB scart cable!

I bought a Ultimate Scart with a switchable RGB option from game today for £15. Its a GAME own brand but we all know that they use BLAZE products. Anyway to cut to the chase I am getting beautiful colour output from WE7 and the picture is so sharp it almost cut me! Here is the link for anyone interested.

i already have a RGB scart - i think it's the ultimate one.

but i tried the vmode exchanger and it worked first time - i like the slower gamespeed (more realistic imo) but i may try burning a ntsc version when a full english translation patch comes out

lucky for me, i have a 12 year old 'great' Sanyo 68 cm Tv that has a system switch that allows selection of both the Pal and Ntsc mode options that run just great with the S-Video cable, so no worries hey. - :)
