apologies? cmon, he saved u guys from humiliation so many years with all those stupid defenders u had etc etc, i think he was really nice to benfica not leaving earlier...u guys cant face it...your team was HORRIBLE....i mean, Xano, Dudic, Cabral, Joao M Pinto,Escalona,Rojas, Sergio Nunes etc etc...

He reminds me of Van der Sar, excellent at Ajax, with Juve he played poorly and now Fulham ok.

It's true he saved us in many many occasions. But it's also true that "we" (Jupp Heynckes, representing Benfica) saved his career when he was on the verge of playing in the 2.Bundesliga.

But he always prefered to get more money instead of first-team football. Now he's about to get his career "finished" prematurely, very very prematurely.

I dont blame Enke for wanting to move to Barcelona, isnt playing in a club like Barça every player's dream?

He should come back to Benfica.

Benfica is doomed if he has to wait for Moreira to gain experience.

Enke also turned down ManU, because he said he didn't want to sit on the bench and watch Bartez play. Now look Bartez is on the bench and Howard is way better and the starter.

Now Fenerbahçe has realised they have made a mistake signing him and have send him back to barça.

The problem is now again for Barcelona because he has a high salary and no club will want to pay that much for such an unsecure goalkeeper.

His problem always was lack of confidence and maybe he's just too nervous when he's given a chance.

I remember when he came to Benfica and started playing in the first couple of games there wasnt a freekick he wouldnt let in, but then after a few games he became probably the best GK Benfica had since Michel Preud'Homme.

Barthez made a couple of good saves against Sporting is he really playing that bad?

He really sucked, after the 3rd goal ( and by the 3rd mistake by him), fans just clapped every time he got the ball.Enke seemed very sorry, I was sorry for him but a pro goalie must not be effected by the atmosphere and play.Enke just couldnt handle the pressure.

Benfica is doomed if he has to wait for Moreira to gain experience. What are you saying? Moreira's played almost 50 competitive games for us, and been great most of the time, and yet you say we're doomed?

For a 21 year old I've never seen any gk handle pressure the way he has. He's very skilled.

In Enke's first UEFA cup competitio againsr POAK he let 2 "frangos" easy goal go through his hands, but he saved his ass in the PKs. In his first Barca game last season he lost 4-0 and he never started again.
