Who is your favourite club to manage?
AC Milan?
Or Wigan?
Or someone els.
Personally, Playing as Barry's Town from Wales is a hell of fun, trying to make them one of the most powerful sides in Europe is very tough.
rony31 20-08-2003, 02:57:AM SG FC (H) :crazyboy: seriously though, I like to start with Milan, and then after about 10 or so years of managing them I like to move on to struggling teams in England or Germany (eg. Grimsby, FC Koln in 2010) :p
John_Arne_Riise 20-08-2003, 12:39:PM Yeah well, i havent really tried all that many teams, but my favourite to manage is Ajax, wonderful young players to train up into world class stars.
Any other teams like this to try out?
Sir Calumn 21-08-2003, 12:53:AM Chelsea obviously (H)
I also love managing Villarreal, Lazio, Millwall and PAO.
-C
1. Valencia
2. Liverpool
3. Millwall
4. Barcelona
5. Rotherham
TROD.
Alex9 07-09-2003, 02:49:PM 1Roma(but is much simple win with this club)
2Leeds
3Reggina
4Parma
5Ostiamare(the club of my district)
TROD - Barcelona is alot of fun.
Great depth, heaps of cash but lack a "Killer Edge" like Roma.
Awesome side, and its always fun selling Rivaldo, Kluviert and getting some young kid in, which is easy when you have 86million pounds at the very start. And when you make 2million profit a month because of Nou Camp.
yeah Barca are a good laugh, but i love playing with Valencia because of the kit i think.
TROD. i like white..
Play with Derby County if you like white.
anashassan170 07-09-2003, 09:41:PM Newcastle...
I got to the UEFA Cup final but lost and I managed only 8th in the Premiership
a small club , its just more fun
Rushden & Diamonds.
Just started with them (h)
Got lucky and bought van der Vaart for 2million pounds :O

Leyther 08-10-2003, 03:40:AM I go for Leigh RMI and other small clubs :)
i suppose the thread aint that old..
Do you not like larger clubs? at all!?
TROD.
I only made it a few weeks ago. I tried Valencia btw TOM.
There kinda fun with the money to spend also.
Valencia are my fav team apart from Liverpool, i wear the Home shirt to college all the time! and unlike all those people who wear Real Madrid shirts, i could actually name more than 10 players from the squad. lol
TROD.
I hate Real Madrid. :kader:
lol, theres a suprise for someone who likes playing with Valencia. lol.
TROD. They play good, entertaining football, thats where i stop liking them.
I like Madrid when they are on the field playing football. I dont like what they do outside the pitch, they turned the club into a mall, a circus, i dont know. Its too much hype, that galacticos stuff just make me get pissed off. In Cm0102 i didnt like Barça because the colors were awful, so in spain my preferred one to manage was Real Madrid, i've had fun with them. Also, São Paulo Futebol Clube are a great team to manage, with guys like Rogerio Ceni, Kaka, Julio Baptista, Luis Fabiano, Fabio Simplicio, some good youngsters there. But my favourite club was PSV, and it was the one i've had most success, playing with a 442 DDL formation in 5 seasons i won 3 doubles and 2 trebles, apart from 2 intercontinental cups and 2 european super cups. That squad was class, my DMC was Van Bommel and the AMC was Aimar. In Cm4, i like Chelsea (both Roman and no Roman, i prefer no Roman), Barcelona (so much fun, the squad i had was unbeatable), Liverpool (my favourite up to now, i'm in 2nd season, good squad plus Owen is a god), São Paulo (again!), Real Sociedad, and Florentia Viola (class LLM, so much fun).
Leyther 12-10-2003, 02:17:AM I usually play as lower league clubs :)

i commend you, really i do, i get bored of people (like myself) who only ever seem to manage big clubs.
TROD.
footiemad 27-10-2003, 12:37:AM 1) Wigan - even thought there one of my most hated clubs you start of with £6.5 million in the 2nd division.
2) Cardiff - some good players already and £2 million too spend.
3) Hull - 3rd division £2million too spend.
4) Chelsea
5) England :mrpimp:

I used to play with big clubs many times with Cm01/02. but since then (with CM4) I only play with small clubs
rpvankasteren 27-10-2003, 03:56:AM I always like playing with Den Bosch (Dutch first division), as I know a lot of their younger players. They don't have any money, well, 300k or something like that.
rony31 27-10-2003, 04:23:AM I bought Koen van de Laak from Den Bosch once... he sucked, so I rotted him in the reserves, then released him on a free (H)
rpvankasteren 27-10-2003, 05:59:AM He can be good, random potential :)
I once bought him on a Man U game, he was better than RvN in that game. Don't have the savedgame anymore though, can't prove it :(
rony31 27-10-2003, 09:49:AM better than RVN? he's an MLC
rpvankasteren 27-10-2003, 02:55:PM No, he isn't. He's an AM/F LC. SI just didn't know that.

Shindig 29-10-2003, 10:35:PM Recent escapades include.......
Hull >>> Promoted to Division One with ease
Frickley >>> Conference newcomers destroy the record books and fly into the Nationwide.
West Brom >>> Currently in contention for the Division One title and Semi-finalists in the League Cup. Just Man U stand in the way. Although, technically, I may end up in Europe already :rockman:
wycome wernt far off doing that the other year were they, but then we hammered em.
TROD.
Shindig 30-10-2003, 09:35:PM Oof! 2-1 down in the away leg. Jason Roberts got the away goal. Becks and Brown put the mancs ahead. McInnes suspended after collecting his 10th yellow of the season. Angry man.
The board want my babies.
Shindig 07-11-2003, 06:03:AM West Brom Update......
A few years later and we do a cup double. Jason Roberts scored a last-minute volley to give us the FA cup, after he given us the League Cup. We challenged quite a bit for the title, too.
Our side isnt good enough for the top prize but that doesnt stop the board from thinking I can win it. Better put that $17.75m bid in for van der Vaart, then.
PaPaGeorGeo 07-11-2003, 06:12:PM Arsenal of course nothing beats Thierry Henry
Shindig 15-11-2003, 06:43:PM Motherwell. Scotland's future. Ironically, I left them to join Everton. Wayne Rooney's oddly a winger. A good one, too.
The Kop Kid 16-11-2003, 10:19:AM Motherwell. Scotland's future? Are Rangers and Celtic leaving after all then? ;) Nice going with the cup double though. :)
Shindig 16-11-2003, 07:26:PM James McFadden, Stephen Pearson, Dave Clarke, Mark Brown, David Conolly.
Lots of talent, man.
Stephen Pearsen is a very good player on CM, didnt recon much to him the other day playing against Holland, but meh.
hasnt he got technique 20?
TROD.
Shindig 17-11-2003, 03:22:AM Aye, and he scores for fun. As does Harpal Singh.
My successor's destroying the side I built. I dragged Chopra back to England after I bought him for Motherwell. Tonton Moukoko might be next.
Ulisees De la Cruz seems to hate everyone.
Alex Totten definitely sucks at man-management.
2nd in the Premiership with Everton. Unbeaten.:rockman:
dont lke de la cruz, never performs on the big stage.
