Yeah, I'm the same as a_shearer here, except occasionally I'll splurge for a player who I know is worth it (Figo, Saviola, etc). I recently picked up Jon Turner from Forest, he's fantastic at DR and cost me only about £400K.

I also signed a few Bulgarians using the Bosman rule, though at the same time I'm losing a whole bunch of reserves players to it. I wish I had the luck a_shearer gets, signing Del Piero on a free. Never happens in my games. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Here's my tip of the day.

Scour the game for the poorest 'Insecure' financial clubs and shortlist their best players.

You can get them DIRT cheap most of the time. Those poor b@stards will take insulting amounts of money for them. I bought a Spaniard in one of my games that I KNOW I wouldve payed 5+ million for if he played for Juve/Barc/Manure/Real for only 2 million.

And Bosmans are a Blessing in CM. I have signed Totti for PSG & Del Piero for Newcastle using them. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

a_shearer is absolutely right, look especially in the lower Italian leagues. A lot of those clubs are in big financial trouble but have fantastic talent.
