i don't know if this has been asked before(i couldn't find anything using the search function) But,

apart from the graphics which can't be the same on both consoles, is the rest of the game the same?

like controls,gameplay,smoothness and so?

My experience from playing the PS1 version on an emulator:

- There is no right analog 360 degree directional passing
- There are only two speeds to run, normal (d-pad) and full speed (d-pad + R1). PS2 version has an additional two speeds (R2, L1).
- R2 doesn't seem to do a thing when positioning for a header
- L1 + O is a lobbed 1-2 pass, on the PS2 version this lobs the ball into the box from anywhere.
- Only fakes I've seen are the stepover (L1-L1) and the fake shot (Square + X)

I've not played the PS2 version, but I've looked at the control listing posted on Evo Web. R2 barges in for position when contesting aerial balls.

how are the penaltys in WE/PES on PS2. Better then in WE2002

I have ISS2, WE2001 and WE2002(=PES2). And it´s very good.
