IMO, if SLB ARE going to sack Roger, they should pick up Dario. He plays very well up front, and right now Benfica's attack has been becoming a bit weaker.

Benfica's attack weak? Ok I get it, today it's our attack, and yesterday was our defence?

Mantorras, Roger, Simão, Nuno Gomes, Sokota, Geovanni, Tiago, Miguel among others.... weak?

Miguel's an attacker? Tiago's an attacker? Simao?

The only actual forwards you mentioned were Gomes(Who face it, isn't exactly his normal self), Roger(As I said getting sacked, did you not read it? or did you just assume I was anti-benfica?), Mantorras(who's been injured god knows how long), Sokota(Doesn't cut the bill but decent).

If you've watched Miguel play, he is part of our attack, it's not too hard to see.

Also Tiago is part of the attack too. Because Petit runs his ass off every second of the match, Tiago gets a chance to go up, and as a result he had 14 goals last season, with a pile of assists.

Yes Simão. The guy that had like 10 assists and 18 goals last season. Remember him?

Gomes - Was awesome before his injury. It's only now, when he's injured, that we realize what a player we have. He creates plays and spreads out the game. Draws defenders to him and passes, thus being a reason why our wingers scored a lot last season.

Roger - He's not sacked yet, and is likely to go on loan which isn't sacking. Besides if he does get sold I'd imagine we'd get a replacement.

Mantorras - Yes he's been injured, but this guy is a super talent. He's just... Facking awesome!

Sokota - Another natural goalgetter, and he's only decent? And you were the one saying Lourenço's so good? :D

By attack I meant forwards, you know the guys that GET the goals... And if your defensive line is off trying to make attacks, then that proves exactly why Benfica couldn't beat such a crappy defensive line called Boavista.

Well attack doesn't apply just to forwards at all. I don't know what you were thinking.

BTW, Boavista's defensive game isn't crap at all. Frechaut's great, Ricardo Silva's good, and Éder is good. You don't have too much of an argument.

As for our defence attacking. It's mainly Miguel, as he plays as a wing back. You know like Roberto Carlos and Cafu? Players that attack but are defenders.

Ricardo Silva is far from "good."

And when I say attack I usually mean the guys who get the most chances, have you ever thought to yourself, "Oh my, striker and attacker are synonyms..."

And the whole attacking defence thing is weak for a team like Benfica, because those players making the runs from defence are wasting 150% of energy all the other players are using.

And Eder isn't really that impressive. And you forgot Paulo Turra. :p

No team in Portugal can beat Boavista playing like that with that ref allowing what they did, unless of course they get one in, in a freekick or a corner.

Remember Porto last season? They didnt play that agressively against Porto that only won with a lucky goal in the last minutes.

That new is a laugh, someone told that Maciel was dissapeard because Porto was "pressing" him to come to our club but now we find that the guilty of this "novela" is Benfica... cause the player wants to go to FCP but his president want to sell him to Benfica and that's why he's not training right now.

Curious this news comes in the day of Benfica's crucial encounter with Lazio, for the 3rd Qual Round of the Champions League.

I don't believe in a word, but this kind of news always have some negative influence on Benfica's players, since their quality as players and even as people (individuals) is always on the line, every day.

I already have an opinion formed about this matter, even before this envolved Benfica:

- JORGE BAIDEK WANTS MONEY, MACIEL WANTS FAME, JOÃO BARTOLOMEU WANTS MONEY AND FAME. PINTO DA COSTA IS THERE BECAUSE HE IS IN EVERYTHING AGAINST BENFICA OR LISBON (except what involves Sporting...).

It's with situations like this that make me think "what a crappy football country I live in".
