Fox sports world for american audiences? I knew it i saw on the menu from 2 30 to 5 eastern time but it only said soccer and ddnt even show the names of the teams playing but i hope it shows a replay of the game since i have a high school varsity soccer practice. Im going to try to skip it.

Porto is far from better than milan. Milan have had the best attacks with porto only having like one shot on goal. Milan are just playing the defense tighter so Porto cant find a way into the box.

Porto did everything to score in the 2nd half but luck wasn't on their side today... i think the result was unfair because milan just defended after their goal, and the chances Porto had didn't end in a goal only god knows why...i hope we have better luck next time, like i said Porto can play head to head with any team, you just saw it! :D

My Review of Players And The Game

Dida - 7.5, Very good game.. Made EXCELLENT saves plus lucky as well.. We're very fortunate to have such a cool goalkeeper.

Pancaro 7.5, I can say that this guy exceeded EVERYONE'S expectation :D He was GREAT! At first I just thought "Oh, another backup player then" but now I really think Kaladze would have to try harder. He got lots of the ball and marked out Derlei (If Im not miskaten) pretty well.. Nice..

Maldini 8.0, After every game last season.. He would get the SAME review, (A rock, perfect etc etc).. Well.. In that case I would have to say that he was a rock, perfect, etc etc.. :tong: Did no mistake.. As usual.. :D

Nesta 8.0, Perfect, same as above :)

Simic 6.5, Average game.. Not much to say..

Pirlo 6.0, As stated by many above.. Today was an off-day for him.. Conceded the ball a little bit too much.. I wouldnt be worried though.. I'd say he's just rusty.. That's all.. Will improve with the season..

Gattuso 6.5, Today this guy did just a little too much fouls.. But like always.. Wins the ball, gives it to a playmaker and let the work work itself :)

Seedorf 7.0, Lots of lapses of shine.. Was OK, did better than Pirlo in this game but capable of doing even better.. Another player who is still rusty and hopefully will improve with the season..

Rui Costa 7.5, Today he didnt try to be too pretty.. He just plays like he does, pretty-ly.. Heheh.. He didnt waste time much, good dribbling and of course, crossed the ball for Sheva's goal..

Subsitutes

Ambrosini 7.0, His usual game.. Tough and determined.. Nothing much else to say..

Rivaldo and Cafu 6.5, Both didnt play long enough to get hold of the ball long enough to be rightly rated.. Tho there was this one chance Riva had which he passed for Cafu but was offside..

Overall

We actually played a flat 4-4-2 with Seedorf the left winger and Rui the right.. To me, the Porto midfield was given just TOO much space.. Deco was a fine player and it wont be long till a big club picks him up.. We were also very lucky with Porto actually having 58% of the possesion but not using them well.. But in my eyes, it would all be down to fitness.. Porto have already started their league and are two games into it.. So of course, they were a gear up in terms of fitness and stamina..

Conclusion

Andriy Shevchenko, our star number 7, has returned

He were better overall and Milan was a bit luckyer than we did!

Milan used the ball better, always heading for goal whereas Porto struggled to get past Maldini and Nesta..

I admitt Shevchenko played very well, also Maniche played great for Porto (one of the best in the game for me), i've recorded the game and i saw some parts of the game again and i have to say this: the goal was a foul (Shevchenko jumped in the back of Paulo Ferreira), Seedorf should have been sent off and it was a penalty for Porto (Maldini grabbing Jankauskas) and other for Milan (Ricardo Costa jumped in the back of Inzaghi), this are the major things that the ref don't have signed, just facts... :rolleyes:

I'm 199% anti-Porto and all but Shevchenko wasn't the best player on the field. IMO, it'd have to be Dida, his performances are always so under-rated. If it wasn't for him Milan wouldn't have won and that's simple. He saved shots and kept the team mentally in the game when Porto had outburts of attack.

Sheva wasnt the best on the field?

Dida did well but only saved a few shots whereas Sheva was working his way towards goal all the time..

He was official MoM btw..

Hey K3, why don't you post as much anymore? I remember last year INFESTA, you, shinji and I were like the only Portuguese in here. Now we got lots, and tons of threads, but you and INFESTA haven't been posting as much..

It was just my opinion and Dida saved a lot more shots then Sheva hit away at goal.

Dereli was one of the guys that tried to lead Porto to the goal but he couldn't score. Did you saw the game? :confused:

Yeah, Derlei was one of the better Porto players lol.

McCarthy can be considered one of the worse Porto players of the game but he hardly had the ball.

in the first half I would say that the Milan defense was excellent..

in the end I would say its a matter of fitness..

thats why we sucked in the 2nd

it's true, i'm not around as much now since i no longer have a 24hrs/day cable conection at home! :kader: i'm using 56k now!! it's sad...

And things got a bit worse around here i think... some attitudes aren't the most correct now, there's more rivalry, when we where fewer we were more"tight" and close than now!! i hope we may learn to behave and deal better in the future!!

I, for one, think Milan deserved the win. They had, at least, the same amount of chances. More importantly, they scored one of them. That's the thing with most italian teams: score a goal and then boe everybody to death with their 'cattenaccio'. (sp)

Porto is getting better every game they play, but we're still lightyears away from the football we played last season. Yeah, whatever, we'll have the CL to prove our value. ;)
