That Maspero dude (AM/LC) absolutely kicks ass! On my game he has 20 long shots / penalties, 18 passing, 18 set pieces. This is at the start of the game though, he is 32. :)

Maspero always playing at AMC in my game, takes freekicks, penalties etc, he is excellent for Serie B and below. :rockman:

Something really p'd me off. I offered Abbondanziere £20000 per week plus a £750000 signing bonus and £4000 match bonus and he went to FC Socheaux, where he plays 0 matches and gets payed £2000 per week, a tenth of what I was offering him for consistent football. :kader: I hope Luke Steele / Kasey Keller accepts my offer or I'll have the crappy starter keepers for the whole season.

I just found an amazing player for my squad, Rudy Carlier, his stats aren't good, but he has a potential ability of 186 in my game, he is only 17, so he will become great. He plays for AS Cannes

How do you check his potential ability once a game has started? Is there a tool/editor for this?

Serie B is tough. :o Its got many relegated Serie A teams in it, which makes it extra hard. I'll be in there for a couple of seasons I reckon.

Loads of contracts expire at the end of the season, Quaresma is one of them, and he is unsettled at Barcelona. Hopefully I can snap him up. :p

I dont know any ways of checking potential ability without using an editor which gives an advantage of the CPU.

I Just signed another batch of youngsters in the January Transfer Window of 2005.

I sold 2 players, not needed, and raised 900k, then bought about 10 brazilian youngsters, which cost a few million in compensation.

Its weird, if u have 900k transfer money, u can still run on a rampage and sign loads and compensate, but it ends up coming out of the Clubs Balance. :o

25 Brazilians in the youth team, whilst there are 2 Englishmen, 7 Italians, 2 Portuguese and 1 American in Freddy Adu, sitting in my youth team. (H)

I was planning to buy Juan as well, but I chose Zonneveld, I don't use Di Livio anymore, normally I would place him in the reserves, but as a tribute I still have him in first squad with sometimes some playing time. Batistuta seems he can't score much in my game, 6 games and only 2 goals, but still he plays good with ratings of 8 and 9. I'm planning to buy Farnerud, in serie C he didn't want to come, but now he wants to come. I will sign him so he comes at the end of the season, because I now have already Pienaar, Trashorras, Hussaine, Reyad, Bebo and D'Agostino (from Bari, only 200k)At the end of the season Pienaar, Trashorras and Hussaine will leave, but because Hussaine didn't play for Man U he can't get a new contract so I will try to sign him when his contract expires

So far I've got 4 players joining on a free contract due to contract expiry :rockman: In febuary you can start going for the players that have there contracts expire in June/July.

Don't spend, just loan players, anyone on, the loan list will play for you, how about use that £1m for young youth players who havent turned professional. :)

Best place to look is Brazil, anyone who hasnt turn 17 will join you. I MEAN ANYONE! :D

Good thing about Italy, work permits are not a problem for players outside of Europe, and you can have as many Brazilians as you want.

Use Rigano, and always play Maspero, have him do penaltys, freekicks, and longshots.

A bunch of my youth players I signed when I took over have broken into the ranks, having Mexes on-loan really helped.

I've had an unbeaten run since 19 games from 23rd of December - 11th of May 2003 - Finished 5th, thanks to our poor start to the season, waiting on who my opponents are for the playoffs. yeah, Reyad has amazing stats, first season: 12 goals 26 assists, second season 22 goals 40 assists, third season 15 goals 30 assists. In serie A it is less so far, but still have a lot of games to play.

Just signed a new goalkeeper, 33 year old Brazilian named Flavio, he profile has "Experienced Goalkeeper", his stats are ok too, better than all my keepers, plus I've got 3 keepers with well over 170 potential ability. So its all good for the future. :D

In my game, Romario and Di Livio just announced there retiremants, Di Livio wants to stay at the club after his playing career is over, so I guess he'll go on a course to get coaching qualifications, Romario already has a non-player profile, so I'm gonna hang on to him as a member of the coaching team. Just had a friendly game vs Milan, Flavio is excellent!, finished 0-0. Makofo was man of the match, pretty embarrasing drawing against a Serie C club eh. :D

Nasri just made his debut for the club in our first Serie C cup group game vs Fano, scored twice in the first half. His stats have gone up dramatically after being put into the first team.

I've had no money to spend for the last 2 years due to our financial strain, but I dont need money. :rockman:

I'll buy or sign some players on a free, my Balance is going up pretty fast for some reason, we're getting 40k filled seats up every match.

Balance gone up to £5m. Plus I've released alot of the old players, and my Total wage budget is £110.000, and So far the wage bill is only £40.000, so that explains why the money is generating so quick. :rockman:

Ok then. Now, for some weird reason, a lot of Brazilian players, only in this game (Roma), were running out of contract. When i realized that, i capitalised guys. Now, in january, Robinho, Kaka, Anderson Polga and Luis Fabiano will be arriving. I've also signed Reyad (he's my favorite now:D ) and i'm going to search a left winger now, and i have a squad for Europe Domination. The tactic is like this : GK-DL-DC-DR-DMC-DMC-ML-MR-AMC-FC-FC and i think its going to work quite well. My game isnt as challenging as yours but anyway, having Robinho,Kaka,Luis Fabiano,Polga,Cassano in the same team rocks. All the great young guns now huh?:p

He is at Cannes. If you start with the club I think you start you made a good choice. A lot of people in this forum are managing them

always closing down
zonal marking
countre attack
free roles for Robinho and Reyad.

Note: I rotate and give the youth a chance against easy opponents

Teams never approach me, even when i'm dominating. I guess its because the EP i use, which is EP1. Dont even tell me to download EP5, and if even so you decide to, PM with a site to a non-cd crack or something...:f***: Because here in South America f****** Eidos didnt release the original version.:f***: Well, about my Roma game, i had an average start, winning both of my CL games, (2-0 and 4-0) but losing in my debut game in Serie A to Inter 1-0. I guess it isnt a bad result since Inter are the most overrated team in the Italian League, and they have a better squad. I've changed my tactics because they didnt work, it was offering my opponents too many chances. So the line-up is:
GK: Pelizzoli (Marcos in January)
DC: Samuel
DC: Zebina
DC: Christanval (on loan, Cufre is so shíte, even Chris is better..)
DML: Candela
DMR: Emerton or Tommasi (i didnt decide yet...)
MC: Reyad (Robinho in January)
MC: Totti
MC: Emerson (Kaka in January)
FC: Montela
FC: Marazzina (Luis Fabiano in January)
As you can see the team is kinda good, but i dont think its good enough to beat Inter, Milan, Juve and the likes... away at least. But until January my primary objective is to maintain a position in the top 5 or even top 3, not so far from the leader. After January i'm hopeful of a good run of results, also changing the team's style of play, with Kaka instead of Emerson in the midfield, so the 3 MC's will have an attacking mentality and i will probably tell the wingbacks to sit back, otherwise i will be too unprotected in defense. Reyad will probably lose his first team position to Robinho, if not in 1st season, probably in the 2nd.
