This is an excerpt from Gamespot:
"This Is Football for the PlayStation2
The first This Is Football game has already sold more than 500,000 units in Europe and is proving itself as another success story for Sony. Because of this, Sony has decided to push This Is Football to the next level, meaning the PlayStation2. Although the name of the game will most likely be modified before it is released, we can offer you first gameplay details now.
Sony wants the PS2 version to benefit a lot from the increase of processing power that the PS2 has to offer. First of all, this means an increased complexity of the Artificial Intelligence of the players and teams, including new strategies, special moves, and more-responsive player movement.
Additionally, the game will also stack up the number of teams available as well as game modes. For example, there will be a unique school football mode and a time-warp league that will include the greatest teams of the last 50 years.
The graphical improvements can only be assumed at this point. According to Sony, each player will consist of 3,000 polygons and should feature a sophisticated facial-animation system. The stadiums will be specially designed by professional architects and should include decent light and weather effects, such as rain and snow.
There currently isn't any other information available on the game, but we'll keep an eye out for any new details and deliver them to you soon."
