I played a lot the fifa 2003, believing that it was acceptable. After seeing the gameplay of WE6, ouf course i changed completely my opinion. I have to admit that although i noticed a lot of bugs and ugly things in the 2003, ill try to play and buy the 2004, because it seems that is way much better. Sadly, EA did what he did with the weather, but it seems that all the other aspects are much much better than the last release. So i think ill buy it.

Try harder the next time EA. And dont broke promises

i ll buy it only if :
1) i play the demo and find it good.
2)after the game is released all magazines and sites have not just positive but gloryfying reviews.
3)some people here (valioso for example-i may post little but i read a lot) find it an excellent game.
4)nick clubman believe its a great game even after he played it for 3 months at least.
and the ultimate test:
5) if some pes fans(like cro, zepenguin etc) think it is a really really good game.
IF all of 5 happen then ll buy it.;)

I'll buy it after I see the press release of the features of national teams (hopefully, it can be at least 40 NT in it).

I will first play the demo, then rent it, if i am impressed. But by the movies i have seen and what i have heard it all sounds very good.

I think this game could begin the reach good heights of gameplay, and this is coming from fifas biggest critic.

The game looks good so far

Yeah, maybe in this game, they will develop an idea of what a good gameplay is.

Having this base, they can do the gameplay quicker for the next game, and work more on the features that will be out in this 2004.

Totally agree. Hopefully if this OFTB thing works well then i hope they keep it and dont axe the good stuff. From then they could improve and not always revamp and remove the good features

About the off the ball... it seems to good to be true,,, but i have noticed that once a player start to do that maneuevr, and make the pas....it seems impossible to intercept, and that could end in a goal fest.

I have an XBOX, FIFA 2004 will definitely be better than FIFA 2003. Well, at least I am hoping it is. I am putting $50 on that assumption. I will be waiting outside the store the morning of October the 28th. Although I am a critic of the folks at EA’s FIFA (based out of Canada) I have faith in their product. Besides, what other soccer title is out ther for XBOX. ESPN’s soccer title game was perplexingly bad in regards to authenticity (wrong names and uniforms?). But I guess they did not have the legal rights to FIFA teams and players. FIFA 2004 does not have any competition on the XBOX; at least none that I have played. :)

Actually I was talking about ESPN's Extratime for the XBOX. It came out before FIFA 2003, and even before 2002 FIFA World Cup. The only teams that had correct uniforms and player names were those from MLS. I am going to have to play winning eleven someday. Everyone talks about it… must be good.

i know what game you are talking about.. and it was the winning eleven 5 engine with the mls teams.. I had that game as well.

Brett

I see what you are saying. That is interesting to know. But why were uniforms and names so wrong for other clubs (including national teams)? Was this a problem that resulted from not having legal rights? And your personal opinion… do you prefer wining eleven over FIFA?

valioso

winning eleven doesnt have the licenses..

about preference.. right now winning eleven is the better game, and I am hoping to be surprised by fifa 2004

Thanks for your response; this is my first time in this forum. It is nice to communicate with knowledgeable persons as yourself. Oh, and I am also hoping FIFA 2004 lives up to our expectations. FIFA 2003 certainly lacked some critical elements, hopefully the folks at EA have worked them out.
