I think i read somewhere that deteriotians(spelling?) start to happen when your player is 25. This is crap, i thought players are in their prime. Players like ronaldo, beckham, vieria and keane are all over 25 and they are playing there best footy in there lives. I think we should ask if crew can check this out and maybe change the deteriotions to somewhere around 30/32. What do you all think

First of all, where did you read that Andrew? And also, it is only a game and some aspects of the game aren't going to be completely true to what it's like in the real world. So, if it is true that players form etc starts to detiriorate after they reach age 25 then I guess we will just have to live with it.

They don't go, 'Oh well, he's reached 25 let's put him from 7 keeping to 4 keeping.' Players still improve when they are over 25. One of my players Derick Henderson, is coming up on 27 and he has gained 2 balls in training since he turned 26. He has lost none. It can happen but it depends. Also, like the others said it is a game. But that's what improvements are for, to make this game more realistic. That's why the statement, 'It's just a game' should be banned ;)

EDIT: Give you a real life example. Steven Pressley used to play with Rangers and Dundee United in his early stages of his career but was never a good player, he was solid and earned a couple of Scotland caps. Not much to write about. But he joined Hearts and since he joined Hearts, he has been probably the best defender in the SPL. He is now a regular Scotland player, he has taken all of Hearts penalties and has not missed one in his whole career at Hearts (I’m pretty sure on that one :confused: :) ), and he makes some of the best tackles you will ever see. I believe he has just turned 30. Age doesn't mean he deteriorates automatically.

Yeah, I had a player who was 27 and stil improving, also a 26 year old still improving. I'm yet to have a player deteriorate ... touch wood.

And there's no set age for deteriorations. Some could only start in their early thirties. Some, like one of Phippard's players, deteriorate in their early twenties (his was 21)!

Players all deterorate at different ages. There is no set age.

Also once they start deteriorating, they actually deteriorate alot slower than they improved - it takes a few months of deteriorating before they actually lose a ball.

All of this is what I've been told though. Like Chris I'm yet to have a player who deteriorates.

I know someone who has btw, apparently they come up under a different section, under improvements there's deteriorations. I think in the manual it said they have a red ball, presumably once they lose a full a ball.

That's not possible, is it? Did you check after MZ fixed the player ages or before?
