can anyone tell me what the main differences will between the console versions and the pc. i have tcm2003 on pc and would like to know what the console versions will be missing, if anything

The console versions will be using the FIFA 2003 engine, while the pc version will be using the FIFA 2004 engine. Console version will also have no access to database patches nor the editor

The user interface is also different between the versions. I don't think any of the editing tools like the stadium editor, kit editor, etc. will be in the console version either.

yeah but the console versions probably won't have any of the annoying bugs and crashes that tcm 2003 has and i hate them!!!

The console versions should be solid as they are developed on standard hardware. The PC version should be more stable this year as the QA team have been working closely with the TCM dev team ironing out bugs but due to the nature of the PC (no 2 PCs having the same hardware and software setups) it is unlikely to be as stable as the console.

I hope there aren't too many patches this year, it's annoying downloading stuff to fix a game you payed money for :f***:

exactly what i think, i have thought about not even buying the games because the bugs and crashes ruined tcm 2003!!!

thats why i won't be getting it on pc. too buggy

But the console version can't be updated. That's a definite no-no for me.

Also i think it would be very annoying going through all the menus and stuff with buttons and not a keyboard and mouse

Someone above said that the console version can't be updated but I would like to point out that Codemasters management game LMA manager will be coming out on console and will also in the future have "update disks". I play LMA and when the first one came out I remember that there was a disk on a mag which updated all the transfers and stats. Also if anyone has Pro Evo 2 remember that they also brought out a disk that made the names the proper names and changed the kit. Its easy to do all the data from the disks is saved to your memory card, I don't see why EA will not be capable of doing similar things.

Well, you won't be able to use unofficial patches which make up the bulk of patches this year. EA Sports only released 2 data updates I think I remember, but there are ltosa unofficial patches covering almost all the countries

I wouldn't go as far as to say that it ruined the game, but as people say, you could get a 2004-2005 season update etc, when it comes out.
