Can anyone walk me through the process of posting a screenshot larger than 100 kb? Thanks. Also, I'm in my 3rd season now and game speed and save times are getting bad, any suggestions on how to improve them? Thanks

You can upload your pics :)
For speed, in principal repertory >> Temp >> the Match****.pkm files should be removed ;)

There is a maximum upload size allowed by these forums and you cannot post screenshots above that size.

To get rid of those pkm files nice 'n' easy, go to www.cmcore.co.uk and register (you have to register to access the downloads) Then go here: http://www.cmcore.co.uk/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=9 and download the .pkm zapper.

CM4 should put a feature asking us if we want to delete PKM files everytime we save, like auto-save every month deletes PKM files. And it makes the game save alot quicker. :rockman:

Yeah that would be a good addition - but one I doubt that they'll do.

I downloaded the pkm zapper but I really don't see that it has improved speed in the game saving or loading, maybe I have to delete the pkms in my other saved game, but I know there aren't many in that one.

Any other ways to improve the save game and load game speed? The pkm zapper doesn't seem to have worked out for me.

Also, how do you upload pictures? I have no idea how to do that.

Here, click browse, find your image file you want to upload, as long as its below 100k.

its well over 100 kb thats my problem

Compress the file.

MS Paint is absolutely useless If thats what your using. :)

I Personally use Paint Shop Pro 8 http://www.jasc.com

Paintshop Pro 7 Is still good, loads up a tad quicker too.

Make it smaller or just cut out the bits that dont matter.

EP5 does increase the game speed if you dont have it already. Also, turning sounds off speeds it up.

Deleting all Backgrounds also increases for the screen change. :), I prefere it without backgrounds, they hardly grab my attention anyway.

I just use the basic bg and skin it comes with.

Is it? Idont think so, coz there is no option for how high/low JPEG quality u wanna have.

LOL I dunno, I use the HP softwear that came with my scanner cos I can just type in the file size I want and it makes it that size, but you can only get that softwear with HP scanners so not many people have it.

i cannot understand why people can't use MSPaint to attach files on SG. I have tried doing it with MASSIVE pictures and it always works! I dont get it.

Ive deleted every pkm file I have in all the saved games, which are only 3 and two are not old at all but my game that is up to 2005 is super super slow? I have put alot of pictures of my own into the game but I don't want to get rid of them. I still want to speed the game up though, any help?

Alot, eigh? In that case you might need extra RAM, high speed RAM that is, to speed the processing up. The backgrounds weigh heavier on the game speed than the database size and league number, for some reason.

I have 512 MB of ram on this system that can't be the problem, at least I doubt it. That's what I would have thought too, but 512MB should be plenty.

How many is a lot? Really, 512 Mb is nothing for these buggers. I run 768 Mb, but I still skip the background changes.

I have noticed a rapid decline in the speed on CM as you go on through a game. pkm zapper helps a little but there is still a noticeable difference.
