hoops old player, got him off the market for 900k. Nt completely sure why he is selling him

Ah well, replaced scotty quite nicely with someone who is worth twice as much and 3 years younger for an extra 50k

The only player I've bought so far is a 22 year old Polish guy who cost me 13 EUR... has 2 balls in about everything, so isn't too bad :p

chris boston

£900k was a lot but then after the Scotty sale I don't blame Steve for spending that much. :D

Cool thread btw ... I'm hoping to make my addition tomorrow or the day after, looking at two hot prospects and hopefully I will get one as I have a lot to spend. :shades:

Keep in mind that there is a limit on foreign players...

I got 3 foreign players the first day, really cheap, but they were crap, and then I wanted to buy more and I was like WTF when it wouldnt let me :crazyboy:

Oh, and why are you using the gay 4-3-3? :kader:

rony31

I only have 1 foreigner :p

and what gay 4-3-3? My defence isn't pushed all the way up to midfield  ...well they are kinda... but since it isn't doing me any good anyways, I'm gonna change it :hump:

MastaLFC - Do not use words like 'gay' on these forums. You are refering to this word with a different meaning from it's original definition but none the less it is very homophobic.

As for a player, then I bought this guy and he made his debut at home to Camberley. We got hammered 4-0 with Albin being the main culprit. :kader: Played not bad apart from that, just less scoring chances and a lack of luck. My reject team managed to just lose 2-1 at their stadium. Amazing how well my rubbish team do against the best...

"Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand..."

Well, except it's actually a bloke and the only thing he did on the sand is play football. ;)

But today I finally got a new signing, Argentinian international Aquilino Rio. He's in the Argentina side on MZNS and even if he somehow doesn't get into the Argentina full team there's always the U21s. :D

My midifeld is looking strong now with Hayhurst, Hodson, Gibbons and Rio. :shades:

I keep getting offers for this player:

http://www.wyorksranger.co.uk/mz/osmondconyngham.gif

Ive been offered £2m, but some swedes are sniffing about now.

He's just turned 22, but is due another ball in tackling soon.

Anyone reckon I should sell him?....personally I dont think he's replaceable, and will easily be worth more in a season.

And how do you post pics like above?

chris boston
30-09-2003, 08:16:PM
Hey Yorkie, and don't use the quick reply if you wanna post attachments, use the "post reply" button instead.

With the lack of talent on the market it would be a bad idea to sell, but £2m for a player you paid what, £650k-odd for? Would be an excellent deal but your team would be weakened as he can't be replaced as you say, but with an English player anyway...

Not sure what you should do but I'd hope whoever his manager is will allow him to play for England at the World Cup. :D

wyorksranger
30-09-2003, 08:55:PM
Ill tell you something...I wasnt gonna let him go to Steve's team if he offered me £4m. :p

Its one thing selling a player for a decent profit, but selling him to one of your divisions main rivals is just daft.:crazyboy:

Shark

Swish
01-10-2003, 08:33:AM
Second up, my new player. Been trying to get the manager to sell for like 3 seasons now.

Before you knock his age, he is old. But I have a coach that will help improve like made in Ball Control. So I reckon about 3-4 ball control skill balls this season, which would nicely hike his value up even more. :p

I bought a 5-ball keeper for 1 000 000 SEK on the 13th of June 2003, he's now on 7 and going for his 8th. That about 15 weeks ago so if that apply to your goalkeeper as well he should gain 2 balls this season :)

Thats awesome... He's young too, so I don't think I overpayed so much... Ill sell my 27 year old goalie, hopefully for around 150k... But theyll cut off 20% :S

After making almost £1m from selling some players, I've now spent almost £1m by purchasing a striker.

My second major transfer this season, he should help with the team's goalscoring problems. I'm hoping he hasn't maxed in shooting but he's still one better in that skill than my other forwards, if he can get eight or even nine I'd be delighted.

Hopefully LCDC will be scoring more and making the most of 18 chances in the league instead of only scoring two of those. :)

Oh, and it means after a short absence, AFC Swish's old player is now back in the EPL for at least one more season...

If this computer in this Internet Cafe had any sort of graphics software I'd post some pics, but...

Only made two signings so far:
1) Demetrios Niziolek (6734582) - Polish
Bought for 439 343 GBP. Worth 315 288 GBP. 6 tackling, 5 passing, 6 shooting. Been performing like a legend as a DM so far. Not bad at 24 either. My new best player :D

2) Remus Ciolac (9081831) - Romanian
Should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Bought for 168 093 GBP. Worth 219 893 GBP. 7 ball tackling, 4 speed, no stamina but only 23. Bit of a bargain me thinks.

With these two should have combined first team of around 2.3 million. Not bad for division 4 :) Now just need a decent goalie...

I get about £150k from Home games and my stadium is a 20,000 seater. Cup games is where I make most my money from.

If I get into the last 32, Im looking at about £200,000 from each game due to my huge ass stadium. As it fills up everytime. Thinking of expanding it to 25,000 if I keep doing well in cups.

finally! a decent striker! I know its a lot... about £693,000. But he's young, good and has a lot of potential. I'm gonna train him on ball control all season, get him up to 4 or 5, then either sell him for a bucketload or train him on shooting :)

Bit in the zone about the bugs sales - was I the only person who actually managed to sign people below their value? Going by stupid current market prices, I'd have thought that Maltby would have gone for at least 200k. But just £85,086? Proper bargain :D

Train on play int, then ball ctrl and shooting and / or tackling... fast player and good stamina, with those stats you could train him to any position... possibly defence if he maxes out early-ish in shooting but if not then he could be a striker, midfielder or defender!

VprArs06, i saw you bought i very nice dutch player this week. Good all round striker with good form too. He was also in my list and i was even already bidding on him with his first transfer, but didn't have enough money at that time. I prefer such players above the big shooter strikers most people buy. 800k + is expensive for a 23 old player though, so i was out again.

Opinions please.... Do you think I over payed by A LOT? You have to consider that the U.S. market sucks, and its impossible to get a decent player under 500k.

Here is my transfer history for this season:

Outgoing Transfers: 2 010 000 GBP
Incoming Transfers: 2 435 000 GBP
Total Profit: -425 000 GBP

Not bad considering until more recently it was break even, and my team has improved a great deal...

And in the end it got upto this. 851k, new record signing.

I reckon he's worth it. Only English 10-ball tackler around I believe :)

where the **** do you get all your money from, man? :(

He went on a cup run - several games at full attendance (both home and away receiving half the ticket income each, home also gets facility income) also got prize money and sold some players.

Pity you don't earn interest on your money. I had quite a lot knocking around for about a month before I got this guy. And most of the money came from the selling players, no the cup run.

Hey people just a question...

How much time do I have to wait to have my player available again?

because I bought a GK , but he "needs to rest" ... since a lot time ago , and I want to have him now on the first team :D

I had a similar problem this evening. I was bidding, but the cache was not updating and telling me I was the highest bidder. I logged out, logged back in, and was one minute late. I had won however, but it wasn't a very nice experience seeing as I had ditched several players in favour of this one.

It can be between two to five days. However there are some lazy sods who want to rest the whole season. Just don't play him this week in friendly matches.

This should definitely be the last buy before the new season ... has to be because I'm now broke.

I'm thinking with what the new simulator is looking like, this guy will slot perfectly into the attacking midfield position. PIty I spent 450k on him though, but he has pushed the first eleven value upto 3 million GBP.

definitely needs stamina, play intell. and tackling training... to be honest, i reckon you wasted a foreign spot on him. You could have saved up and bought a much better foreign player...

Stamina? You mean speed? Five stamina is fine. :p

I brought a player with 4 balls Shooting, 4 balls Ballcontrol and 3 balls Speed. I know it doesnt sound like much but I really need someone that can score goals as at the moment I only have 1 striker that can actually score. The other 2 just make up the numbers. Also the player I brought is an aussie and it only cost me 80,000 AUD.

Nice winger. (Y)

I bought a defensive backup for about 7k over his value. Even at 26 he can still do a good job, and by the time he starts deteriorating, my young defender should be as good as him and still have a few years before he gets to 26.

I can't be bothered with a screenshot, so I'll show off my new site. ;) - http://lcdc.iwebland.com/lcdc.php - Kelly Salinger #12

My New Striker! :)

Essendon BFC

He could have a bit more on ball control.....

Rami
18-01-2004, 03:32:PM
Yeah, that's what I'll be training him on. Unless the theory of him not being maxed out on shooting is right... His owner created a team on the 15th january 2004, meaning he's new, meaning he might not be maxed in shooting! :D

Also made a very nice profit off selling a player. Bought him for £22 927, sold him for £152 995, 26k taken out of profits. As you can see in the following pic... he sucks! :D Plus he's not 24 anymore, he's 25

I agree with RP, train him on BC and you could have a very good striker on your hands there Rami.

chris boston

That's what I told him, train bctrl, p.int, bctrl and then all the main stats are on 4 or 5, and shooting 7 or 8 if poss. :p

He's only 22 as well, git :p

bloody foreigners, always so cheap. :(

I might have paid a bit much for him, but I've been looking for a new striker for so long, I was definitely going to get him in the end!

Meh, Blair keeps saying (or hinting at least) that I overspent on my forward, wouldn't take any notice. ;)

And my forward went for only £200k more than another of Yorkie's players who isn't as good and is older. :p

The English market is silly. I got a 22 year old Swedish 9 ball shooter, 4 speed, but only 2 BC for 400k a couple of months ago. He could be easily as good as that Urban chap by next season.
