Yes I finally got it. After playing the demo of CM 3 I decided to buy the full version. WOW it's totally awesome.
It's a same that no one has started a topic here again.

But after the demo expierence and now the full version. I have a question. It maybe sounds stupid to you (who are succesfull coaches now).
I want to manage a first division team and try to promote to the premier devision in one or two seasons. But it is so hard to win. How can you make the players score? Or properly defend? Because some players have the skills to do that. Is there a technique?
What can I do against 4-4-2 formations or even worse, sweepers? Sometimes I win but in most cases I lose with big defeats like 5-1 or 7-0!

If you're leaking goals then make sure that you've got a reliable keeper (R.Wright is a good bet for a cheap keeper) and play a flat back 4 with a DMC just in front supporting them .....

Thanks, it go's a lot better now. But I've to switch my tactics every game. If 4-4-2 with an extra defender doesn't work and isn't good for results I have to switch to 3-4-3. The players get tired then. I have playing a team who had to bravely battle against relegation. That's why my team wasn't the best.

Question: If you have a small team and your are using your best tactics. Is it possible to win of a big(ger) team? Lets say a team which wsa unbeatable for other teams that season. Or is the difference in quality always in advantage of the bigger team?

You got to juggle your players.
the attacking midfielder that I have is Rui Costa, i bought him for 24 million pounds from Fiorentina. He gave me 23 goals for the season. OF course my forwards also scored alot. I played with Man Utd cause they have the most cash I think. And after playing one season with Man U, the board finally agreed with me about expanding the stadium, cool ehh?

So if I read your post well, it seems that you have to choose a big club like Man United.

Because I thought the board would sack me I choosed third division clubs like Plymouth and so one. But I always lost.

to play with 4-3-1-2 you need good midfielders.. and an exceptional attacking midfielder(AMC). cheap and good AMC would be players like Kennedy Bakirciouglu, Patric Antonen, Zlatan Muslimovic and Tonton Zola Moukoko. u can support them with Sharbel Touma (strongly recommended - 250K), Denis Boyle and Christer Persson. their ratings might be low early, but put them in training and be a little patient. you can shore up your defence with a DMC playing in front of the flat back four, some suggestions are Claus Nielsen, Suleyman Sleyman, Mikael Dorsin, Patrik Akesson and Peter Dillon. i have some more players, but can't remember. these players might have been recommended before, well just thought i'd helped.

is CM3 and CM99/00 is the same thing or two different games?
If they are, where can i buy or download CM99/00?
I live in USA, they dont sell it in stores here, and i couldnt find a site where i can buy it on line

they are different games, but cm99/2000 is just the next version in the champman series

Or try to search for other fansites!

There you can download it and put it in your tactics directory (windows explorer). Then select from the pulldownmenu load and click on the tactic you donwloaded.

How many games did you won with tactic Vasco?
Does it work against all cpu-tactics?
Does work always? Or do you switch to another tactic if it fails?

I have been using this tactics for two seasons with this tactics i won serie a last season and had the top goalscorer (Ronaldo 33 goals)and in my second season im right know second in serie away and qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions league.

So far i have won about 60 games and lost 11.
Yes it does work against CPU-tactics.
Most of the time it works, but when it doesnt it i never switch to another tactic.

P.S what ever team you are playing try to have Di Biaggio playing at DMC he is great hes evarage rating is 8 and he ended the season as the best player in serie a.

Is it true that when you switch the gamespeed during the match on fast, that you loose almost very game? And that if it is on slow (so you can hear the sounds) you have more succes?
Or is that just a bunch of crap?

Altough I still have a question: if you loose a couple of matches with your tactic, is that because of the morale of your players? Suppose your star player got a low morale will he play a bad match???

I dont know about the speed if it affects your game play i always have it on fast mode.
some times you lose a game becuase its just not your day and like i said even if i lose three games in a row i never change my tactic.
And yes if the player has low morale he will usually have a bad game and that will affect your team on the pitch so try not to play him.

P.S: i forgot to put on my lineup that i play Baggio as AMC.

I was just reading your first post again and i sow that you were losing games by alot goals the same thing happened to me when i got the game until i started using this tactic, you should got post at cm3.com you will get alot more help then here.

Arsenal : about speed affecting win/loss well that is a bunch of crap. With Cm3 (i play cm99/00 now i recommend it it is far better and it is only 20 quid ) i was spurs i always play with v.fast 1st season i lost just 3 games and in the next 2 seasons i lost a total of 4 games. So as you can i is just lies

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked Cm.com and saw a lot of info. But I cannot register right now there and I've still got a problem. Now I don't conceed that much goals anymore but,

I always loose away games with my team. It doesn't matter what tactic or players I use, the cpu always beats me. What can I do then???? I change tactics an everything during the game but it won't help.
And I always loose games at home against teams with better players then mine. Even if I change the tactics during the game or let the players man-mark more, the bigger teams always can score a lot of games. And they win!!! AAAAAAAAHHH!!!

Other question. I played a match and I lost 5-0. I saved the game with another name and played (the saved game of before) again. Then I won the SAME game 4-2! How did that happen???? Why does it work sometimes, and sometimes not? By the way I only did this trick ones, because I DON'T like to cheat. I wanna win games on a normal way. I wanna win games against stronger teams and I wanna win AWAY games WITHOUT cheating.

On the Cm forum I read a lot of stories about bringin (for example) Rushden and Diamonds too the Premier League. How do you that??? I can hardly win any game!!!! Not that I play with R&D but it is just an example that it is possible to win.

By the way, I played 13 matches with match-engine on very fast and it don't affect the game like thought before. But thanx anyway for telling.

in CM3 he's about 26 at the start but doesn't hit his ....WOOHOO!.......period until about the age of 28
but he's with dundee who often get relegated and dundee sell him at the end of the first year (98/99) to get the dough

oh yeah i use 5-3-2 att.with pressing and short passing,i also rotate players.The less they play the more their stats improve.
BUT...i do have a first team for BIG games

Hi Arsenal, if you want a good player and one who is actually cheap then have a look at this one: Paul Dillon !! He's a SW/DC/L and at the beginning of the game his value is 60k. Nothing. He'll become an irish international within 1 year. A great defender who is collecting quite a few cards at the beginning (he's just 20 in 1999). But then he learns quickly. I played CM99/00 until the year 2008/09. He won 78 caps. Questions?
