Hi guys,

As you probably know, people had LOTS of problems with PC controllers in Madden 2004. After a long, long wait, I got an e-mail from tech support. The only controllers SUPPORTED BY EA SPORTS and guaranteed to work are:

- Logitech Dual Action gamepad / rumblepad / wireless rumblepad
- Gravis eliminator aftershock
- Thrustmaster Firestorm
- Logitech Wingman

ANY OTHER CONTROLLER, such as the Nostromo n45, n50, PS2 or XBOX controllers with a USB adapter, generic dual analog gamepads, etc. will NOT work properly.

OFF THE BALL CONTROL WILL REQUIRE A DUAL ANALOG GAMEPAD. Keyboard will NOT work.

As you probably suppose, this is VERY VERY LIKELY TO HAPPEN WITH FIFA 2004 too. So please consider buying one of these gamepads.

Don't say I didn't warn you. (Personally I reccomend the Logitech wireless rumblepad, it's great).

As i said, keyboard won't work for OFF THE BALL Control, although you will be able to control every other feature with the keyboard.

Yes obviously, but i wanna use my keyboard and i cant even use otb!! :kader:

just get a controller you pussy, playing a game like fifa with the keyboard is sucks ass anyway.

Firstly 2003 couldn't run smooth enough on the best of computers and Fifa 2004 will proberly be the same even though they clame they started the programing from scratch. Just like Micro$oft clamed that with windows xp and that proved to be BS.
2nd they exspect people to be able to afford a new controler!! Just for otb that proberly sucks anyway :f***:
Some people can barely afford the game as it is! Time for Aklame to take over Fifa games just like they did with the last 2 AFL Live games.

I have a A4tech one n I think that should still work. I have never used it,I always play by keyboard but this year, damnn I dono.

I hope it really worls with FIRESTORM, I bought it for FIFA 2003 and it wasn't supported at all /I could only use one analog controller.../

Keyboard shouldn't work with OTB, FIFA 2004 is a next generation football game, created with consoles in mind = gamepads. :)

That's what I believe anyway, and I think it will be very hard to execute an OTB move with keyboard anyway. :confused:

it's ok but EA should make stuffs like OTB for everybody!

Even though my directional buttons are all uncalibrated (sp?). It happened some time ago. The normal and the analog d-pads.

What wont work with the PS2/ PC connecter ??

The only reason i was going to get fifa on PC was for the CC, but if i cant use the PS2 control, i'll just get it on PS2.

you shouldn't say why did the make it for PC .. you should say why did they include OTB for the PC version if we cant play it with the keybored

does that mean u think it will be likely, cos i read in a chat session the key board will still work, but it is getting harder and harder to map the controls
