What is everyones favourite image editing programme. I have PSP7 and am trying PS7( which I don't particularly like). Although I like PSP, I'm thinking of getting something different. Is there anything out there that anyone uses that they like?

PhotoShop 7 - king at top of the hill. Fireworks is very good aswell, but i prefer CorelDesigner even thought i don't really use it that much.
I use photoshop most of the time just for creating textures for game use or adding finishing touches to Maya pieces. I would use LightWave or 3dmax, :sob: but i could never affort them....:( ....and don't ask me where i got maya...

That's right, programs like Illustrator and GoLive will also carry the CS title instead of a number. And they are release a CS package with the programs all in one box.

Filter browser

File browser

The first thing to note, is that Photoshop 8 and ImageReady 8 have been code-named Dark Matter and Taconite. Tighther integration between the two applications is also to be expected.

The much hyped, and inevitable introduction of a "Filter Browser," will allow users to swith between previews, and apply multiple filters from a single pane. Apparently, a listing of applied filters layers and settings are retained for multiple applications of the same desired effect, over multiple layers. Nested layer sets are also reputedly to be adopted, and the airbrush returned to the floating palette

For those that work heavily with video, integration of advanced color matching tools and the introduction in pixel aspect ratio selection (allowing canvases to be comprised of non-square pixels).
