Well during my succesful time at Celtic, one of my younger players scored the best goal I have seen to date in CM4, in the Semi-Final of the European Championship against Juventus.

Here is Navia's attributes...

As you can see, he isn't the best ever but I bought him mainly because he was the only player with good aerial and finishing attributes that would come to Celtic Park for a low amount of wages.

Also I had alot of creative players from defenders to strikers in which to aid is chances :)

I wanna see 2 , wonder if he is better than my Moke (H)

That Navia guy has awaful dribbling, strikers need to have good dribbling in my team

that's where lots of managers differ, Navia fits my team perfectly because when you have creative players knocking through balls, great corners and defender beating crosses there's no need to dribble :)

My stikers need to play am sometimes, players like Cassano, Reyad and Carlier are perfect for me.

not being naive at all, the fact is that if a player doesn't need to dribble to score his goals then his Dribbling attribute isn't all that important. If it was he wouldn't have netted 40 + goals a season now would he ?

O btw, how you get Naive from Navia I do not know.

sorry, i was just critising your comments on Dribbling, but i never explained myself, sorry for that.

Anyway, i just feel that dribbling is far more important than it is often given credit for, its not just of use when going forward, but also useful for getting out of tight situations. like in defence or out on the wing, when people think of dribbling, its all: "ooh, Cristiano Ronaldo!!" when infact, every player needs to be able to dribble.

TROD. Dont care what anyone says, Cristiano Ronaldo is an immensly gifted player, you can abuse him for his diving, but his skill far outweighs that.

only potential of 169 in my game, that's not enough to be a superstar IMO

I only use it sometimes for injuries (very long). But extra cash for PSV isn't in my adavance because I play with Fiorentina (and I don't give myself extra cash)

I use it to check which teams are close to bankruptcy :p . So far i've seen Parma , Sociedad , leeds and west ham all below 5mil balance :rockman:

thats cheating lol. Can't you guys use the skills you have by judging players ingame, rather then checking the potential or whatever of them ?

I did this in the beginning of my Fiorentina game, now I have scouts with high potential rating. (you know)

I'll not cheat in proper games but I do have the ocasional game where the editor becomes a paradise for me before I start up the game! (H)

I did this once: Gave MVV reputation 100, 300 million transfer budget. (even higher balance). incredible high wage budget. It was fun to play with big players in dutch div.1

Thats my point exactly. I think I managed to attract Paolo Maldini to Notts County on one of the older games. That was a grand day for all concerned (H)

i only ever used the MCM4 editor to do two things:

1. piss up certain players if they were pissing me off, like lowering the reputations to 2 or summet (im a very bitter person)

2. Sorting injuries, cos it still sometimes goes unrealistic.

I wouldnt call the 2nd one cheating.

yeah, I think the number of injuries is cheating by the computer

its usually ok, but sometimes you get 5 or 6 in the space of a day.

Even with EP5? God... and i though that downloading it would be the end of my injury problems...

with EP5 the injurie psoblem is not that big, but sometimes u get somit like 7-8 injured first team playas... :kader:

Fair enough about the injuries, but even still, it presents a bigger challenge of winning the majority of games without those players.

It presents your chances of winning a CL final going away because of a unrealistic injury blow that takes half of your first team away from the match. Just to make an example. I'm fully against cheating, but healing some players is no harm at all, especially when they get injured because of some sort of useless bug. Imagine me then, i use EP1 because it was the only patch i could find a crack that worked. Almost every match i get at least 1 player injured, which makes LLM almost impossible. That's why i get bored so easily, managing world class teams suck if you want a real challenge.

you explained that so well, Ross. i can see where you're coming from, but when you get 6-7 injuries in a few days, its just unrealistic when they're all 3 week + injuries. its annoying and its unrealistic.
