You're totally wrong, Juve didn't copy Newcastle at all...
Juve adopted the black and white stripes from Notts County in the early 20th century after playing them. Back then Juve's kit was pink, but the kit had got so faded that they asked their opponents for a set of jerseys...
The official story isn't know and you'll hear many variations on the theme, but the fact of the matter is, Juve adopted the kit from County.

The reason arsenal wear home red and away yellow was because of their disciplinary record..... Its true....
Lies....
Arsenal wear red because of Forest, look at them in the info on Arsenal.com
"Arsenal's famous red and white strip has a less obvious heritage than the crest.
In 1895 a selection of Nottingham Forest players joined the squad, subsequently bringing their old kit along with them.
Arsenal's economic resources in the 1800's were not as they are today. Therefore working to a tight budget, the Club decided the most inexpensive way of acquiring a strip was to kit out the team in the same colour as the ex-Forest players. So, the very origins of Arsenal's kit were more by accident than design."
monkee 06-10-2003, 02:03:PM Was gonna say that Juve adopted their kits from Notts Co and not Newcastle.

I know what u meant but only 4 English clubs have won the European Cup. They have won it 9 times between them and are only 1 win behind Spain who have 10. You also forgot to add the following Scottish success:
1972 Cup Winners Cup - Rangers
1983 Cup Winners Cup - Aberdeen
and the following English ones.
1965 Cup Winners Cup - West Ham
1994 CWC - Arsenal
1985 CWC - Everton

Digitarius 07-10-2003, 11:16:PM Argentina striker Bertoni was wearing the number 1 in the 1978 World Cup!
Billy Mercer went through a whole season wearing 2 despite being a goalkeeper for Bristol City.
6 years? I know that Monaco won there in 1997 but that's the last one I can remember
Monaco did NOT win at Old Trafford. They drew 1-1 there (Trezeuget opened the scoring, Solskjær replied) and went through on the two legs on the away goals rule (0-0 at Monaco).
Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahce and Juventus all won at United in the same season, and interestingly, all by the same scoreline (1-0), in 1996/7.
And since then Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have both won there in the knock-out stages, 1-0 and 3-2 respectively.
No Asian side has won a game in the World Cup between 1970-1990. North Korea famously beat Italy in 1966, whereas Saudi Arabia ended the drought by beating Belgium in 1994, before bowing out against Sweden in the Last 16s.
In the 1978 World Cup, Daniel Bertoni actually wore the number 4 jersey, with Norberto Alonso wearing number 1, even though he was a midfielder. In 1982, Ossie Ardiles wore the number 1 jersey, and in 1986 it was used by Sergio Almirón, who didn't play any part in the tournament.
Argentina's goalie in the 78 and 82 World Cup tournaments, Ubaldo Fillol, wore two different squad numbers that you'd associate with midfielders, being 5 and 7 respectively. In 1990 however the number 1 jersey was worn by Nery Pumpido, who was a goalkeeper!
The reason why Argentina used to have really weird squad number allocations during the World Cup was because they used to arrange them by alphabetical order of the players' surnames.
Which leads me on to the following poser - which current Premiership team did exactly the same method of assigning squad numbers when they were first used in the English league in the 93/94 season?

Socrates, the Brazilian captain of the great non World Cup winning '82 team is a medical doctor.
and this is a guess from memory.
Paul Breitner is the most accurate penalty taker ever in European league and International football.
I don't have any facts, I just remember someone said this at home in an argument.
And Breitner had perhaps the greatest 5year stretch in football where he won the German Championship 72-74, and Laliga 75-76. During those years he also won what is now the Champions League and the World Cup.
Maybe there is someone better, like I said this is just the talk I get from football arguments at home.

I might be wrong but I think he is the inventor of the stand and kick penalty.
Now that you mention his skill at penalties, I think it may be him and not Breitner who has the record for consecutive penalties.

Well all know is that he was good at it cuz at penalty practice my coach was telling me about how he could shoot very good and acceratly. He said that Socrates did not even how to run or walk up just toke the kick from the stand still spot.
