View Full Version : Red vs Violet Batistuta 15-03-2000, 02:34:PM Anyone thinks that Fiorentina can upset Man U for the second time? PAOK F.C. Fan 15-03-2000, 04:23:PM I feel like both teams (and esp. Viola) are nothing like they were when the first match was played. I'd give Man Utd 60% - Fiorentina 40%, and just because it's a derby. Zambrotta 15-03-2000, 05:38:PM No - Trap is killing Batistuta. He has physical problems, but Trap gives him no break. That is absurd. Batistuta 15-03-2000, 05:49:PM Well whether or not Trap is killing Batistuta...well I don't know. But what I do know is that Fiorentina don't really have any other WORLD CLASS striker (my opinion). I mean...Mijatovic is good I guess now that he's coming back from injury. Chiesa seems to be way overrated if you ask me (I may be wrong though) and Balbo has already expressed his displeasure with his limited first team opportunities although I must say he scores when he does start. Fiorentina is really based around three players then...BatiGOL!!!!, Rui Costa and Toldo (he's great isn't he!?). By the way, how old is Toldo? I heard rumours that Toldo was leaving for Lazio at the end of the season (I hope that its just a rumour). If any of these three leave, the other two would definitely leave as well. As far as I see, la Viola will only overcome Man U if Man U gives us a couple of goals (again http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif) or if the man called BatiGOL shows us his sheer brilliance (like he did against Arsenal). Rui Costa is back on form too recently so I'm hoping that he'll play a great part in a win for Fiorentina. Greetings from the man called BatiGOL!!! PolishPower 16-03-2000, 06:29:AM Toldo is 28 or 29, haven't heard about his possible move though. He is great though I think he is partly at fault on the 1st goal to Cole. Also I think Rui Costa had a pretty awful game, too bad because they started really strong. |
