Turkey 2-1 England

Owen may play but he wont be as effective. His ankle was nicely twisted as you can see on replays. A week cant take care of that. And is Becks 100%? Not so sure. Sas is out for Turkey but they have a pretty deep group of good strikers. England doesnt have another Owen.

----------------Gerrard----P. Neville--------------

-----Becks-------------------Scholes---------------

---------------Rooney--------------------------------

-----------------------------Owen---------------------

P. Neville would be playing as a defensive mid.
when Ashley cole goes forward he would tend to stay back a little
and works as a full-back. Scholes would help a little more at the left too.

Do you guys think new players would be named? like Thompson or Barry?

Bobby

Rio may not play because of a drug test contreversy. Sol may not play because he thinks the FA hates him when he's an Arsenal player and love him when he's an England player, if he's banned from club play, expect him to stay in london.

I say 3-1 to Turkey.

Turkey have a better team, their players are more determined and plus they are playing at home.

Owen is not the best striker and he has an injury so don't put your hopes on him. Gerrard hasn't been playing well this past weeks in EPL, Ferdinand has a drug problem, Campbell's dad died.
The only players that will play good are Beckham and Scholes, I think. Though Scholes can't score for England.

Owen shouldn't of even been called up.

Ferdinand does not have a drug problem.

Now you brought up the issue about Campbell's father, It didn't stop him from putting in a glittering performance versus Liverpool.

However, after watching a Kevin Campbell interview on Sky Sports(Who has experienced playing in Turkey during his career).

I do worry for Sol.

I think Vassell lacks match practice at the moment, although whenever he's played for England he has looked threatening, more threatening that Owen at times. I don't think Owen is going to be fit though, so I may be tempted to either go with a Beattie-Rooney strike force or try to see what Rooney-Vassell is like. Neither Rooney or Vassell are going to win as much in the air as Beattie or Heskey but maybe England should play it along the ground sometimes and mix it up a bit, both players are strong and skillfull and Vassell has a fair bit of pace. I think the Turks' defensive strength lies in the air though, so if England tried playing it under then, as they are slow, they might have more success.

I also wanna say that I was listening to Swap Meet - Nirvana when I saw Jambo Tony's avatar and the dancing avatar kept time very well. :D

Beattie has been banging in the goals recently, I can't see how he should really miss this game, especially as England will need someone up front who can hold onto the ball.

Also turkish fans are hooligans.

if england are going to win, they have to stay focused. we all know it's going to be heated and there's going to be a lot of tugging, shirt pulling, kicking, scratching, etc. going around. england needs to stay calm and reserved..if they get too emotional, the crowd's gonna love it. that's why i guess some people are saying to start heskey, since nothing fazes the man. anyways, this is a lot of drama heading towards a match, more or less a very important one. right now, i find it difficult to see that england will win. maybe draw?

yes i dont expect anyone to beat brazil, but i saw both games and i TRULY thought that england were closer to beating brazil then turkey. England were playing very nervously...

If england had Turkey's games, they probably would have got through to, with a strong team not tired after tough games, they would, and definetley could, make it to the Finals... and if they made it to the finals, they would have most likely repeated their performance against germany like they did in the quliafier...

Why look at the past? Yah so wat, once apon a time England was good? Now we're better in everyway, so the games you guys won 70 years ago DON'T matter.

England couldn't even beat macedonia at home, I think every game they have won in these qualifyers has been from a free penalty..

Oh prediction changed...

3-0 for Turkey, Nihat, Tuncay, And Sergen Yalcin from a freekick since he's better than beckham at them, juss like besiktas took down chelsea we'll take down england...its in the bag...

According to Beckham, Collina said: "This game's too big and too important to be ruined by sillyness."

The players were instructed to calm their teams down and shook hands.

That's a referee!!!!

 Weird isn't it? I couldn't believe how he fired England into the WC2002. I couldn't believe how Beckham so often single-handedly won games for England with his commitment, desire and passion. Beckham is kind of unbelievably good.
