As the date draws near .......one can't help but think what a tremendous let down a loss to Northern Ireland would...be

.........HA......as if that would ever happen in LEOFOROS

(but the possibility exists....this isn't baseball.....its football....and " football is a whore")

I think the :drevil: Hellenic Republic :drevil: will win 3-1, and thus NI break the scoring, perhaps even scoring first. (H)

If NI score first Greece will crap themselves and no longer be able to play

Greece will most likely win 1-0 or 2-0 but I've got a feeling they might CHOKE and blow this opportunity. ;)

Well, we hold the record for longest a european team have gone without scoring. We are going to lose to Greece and I don't want us to score. We got one record so let's hold on to what little pride we have left...no, that didn't make sense, I know, but do you know what time it is?:D

I do hope we can at least score, though. A win is very unrealistic, a draw...maybe with a little bit of luck...

Nah, Greece are gonna make it HELLAS for your lot Phil (H)

I reckon it'll end 3-0, meaning there's a chance of a plum tie with Spain for us in the playoffs :p

I don't know what to think, they tied spain, so it won't be that easy.

Armenia is not going to win, Spain nearly made it 2-0, but the goal was offside. Northern Ireland aren't going to score, but they're doing very well in defence. Greece is attacking, but are unsuccesful so far.

the second half is over, time is whinning down for Greece.

I'm surprised nobody made a Switzerland-Ireland thread, the Swiss are winning 2-0. They'll be on their way to Euro 2004.

2nd half begins, Nikolaidis and Venetedis go in and Dabizas and Charisteas go out.

Greece is playing too much with the ball in the box and NI keep clearing it.

Yes, but Spain is crappier.

Id like to say "Greece u played very nice and u deserve it" but would be stupid since Greece will be in Portugal cause spain was a total joke in 2 matches, a ****ing joke.

Greece is not a cappy team... But Spain is one of the best teams in the world... (correction; very good players, not a good team).

I saw some of the highlights, Northern Ireland have a goalkeeper. I forgot to mention that McCartney got a red card after taking down Vryzas in the penalty area and the goalkeeper was just inches away from saving Tsartas's penalty kick. Hopefully we'll do well in Portugal.

Spain will qualify for the Finals anyway, they are the strongest team among those remaining in the play-offs.
I am Greek and my favourite national team from Europe is Spain(apart from Greece,of course),so I am happy that both teams will actually be in Portugal next summer.
And, btw, Greece is not a crap team, maybe not an exciting team to watch, but we proved we have the nerve to leave Spain behind-and believe me,with Herr Rehhagel as a coach,it won't be easy for anyone to beat us.

Greece is an exciting team to watch. In their last two games against Armenia and Ukraine, before they played NI, the score could have been 4-0 nothing for Greece if they would have put away their obvious chances.

I didn't see the game, but from what I hear, Greece played like crap against NI.

Greece has always had talented players but for some reason they underperform.
