CHELSEA ACE BEATEN AT 'RAPE' CLUB
Oct 9 2003
EXCLUSIVE
By Gary Jones
FOOTBALL star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been assaulted at the same club where the 17-year-old girl was drinking before she was allegedly gang raped.
The 31-year-old Chelsea striker was punched in the face at the Funky Buddha club in London's Mayfair after refusing to give an autograph.
The 31-year-old was accosted at 3.15am yesterday by an irate clubber. He was pushed by the unknown man and responded by pushing him back.
But 10 of his attacker's friends then set upon him and started beating him up. Club bouncers sprang to Hasselbaink's defence and jumped in to break up the fight which left the ace clutching his face with a badly bruised black eye. A witness said: "It was a nasty situation. Footballers are getting a lot of stick at the moment and Jimmy was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Another on-looker said: "There was nothing Jimmy could do to avoid what happened.
"A clubber wanted to have a go and snapped, 'Give me your autograph'. Jimmy said 'No' and told him that if he wanted his autograph he would have to go upstairs because he didn't want to stop while everyone was trying to leave. So this guy suddenly pushes Jimmy and he pushed the guy back and the guy punched him in the face. Then it all went off."
The man who punched Hasselbaink in the face waited outside the club so he could continue the fight, but fellow Chelsea stars Celestine Babayaro and Njitap Geremi managed to calm him down.
Hasselbaink then got in a car and sped off.
One friend said: "All Jimmy was trying to do was leave after having an enjoyable evening out with his mates. The club's security guards had to lead him out through the VIP room at the back for his own protection.
"Afterwards, the man was waiting to start it all off again, but luckily Jimmy managed to get into his car and get out of there as quickly as possible."
Hasselbaink did not report the incident to the police. He is a regular at the Funky Buddha clubnight, hosted by DJ Sam Young.
A spokesman for Chelsea FC said: "Because this is not a footballing matter it is not something we would normally look into anyway."
A Scotland Yard spokesman said they were aware of the alleged incident, but that no action had been taken.
Hasselbaink has scored six goals this season, but is out of Saturday's Dutch squad for the last Euro 2004 qualifier versus Moldova.
Poor guy
Jedi Mind Trick 10-10-2003, 01:25:AM that's fcuked up.

Poor Jimbo :(
Elder 10-10-2003, 03:15:AM Why are soccer players such p*ssies? Try doing that in America and you, and all of your buddies will have your ass kicked. Hell, even Puff Daddy pops off rounds from time to time!
Jimmy should have taken one of his bigger soccer legs and kicked some dude in the balls.

*remembers when charles barkley threw a man through a window*
Elder 10-10-2003, 03:40:AM Charles sure was entertaining. I think that is why basketball has fallen off the map. No excitement anymore besides players getting busted for shooting each othe and for smoking crack.
NOOO NOT MY JIMMEH!!!
I hope he sues them for every penny.

You got a point there. He should fight back. One kick to the face or anyhwere for that matter and bang the guy will go flying:D that would be fun to watch.

Elder 10-10-2003, 07:11:AM It's not that it would even be fun to watch, which it would be, but if he did something like, he would never get bothered again. If people know you are going to fight back, they will lay off. Well, unless they are extremely drunk. :mrpimp:
Alistair 10-10-2003, 09:52:AM Stupid drunks... Hope Jimmy does something about it, sue them for what they're worth....
eddy_87 10-10-2003, 11:58:AM u see how the fans doing just for getting his aotugraph, they are pure fans.... :) :D :crazyboy:
soccerbest 10-10-2003, 12:04:PM Hmm, holligans acts, more scandal in english football. :kader:
SiCkFeSt^ 10-10-2003, 12:48:PM but knowing how the media reacts to things like this jimmy would probably end up in trouble if he hit the guy, if the "fan" got his ass kicked he would end up saying jimmy started it....
bah he should have just kicked him in the shins :crazyboy:
monkee 10-10-2003, 02:24:PM Blinking yobs. Jimmy seems like a decent chap as well.
If you want stories like this then read Keano's autobiography. Some cracking ones in there, although Keane often reacted. :D

Damn, you're dumb. :kader:
Fernandez 10-10-2003, 05:40:PM this is all dick advocaat's fault for not choosing him.... jimmy might have been with the dutch squad instead of being assaulted.... :crazyboy:
poor jimmy....and he did the right thing by not fighting back or else he would be banned from playing footie....

I can only imagine. :D :mrpimp: (H)
Voltaic Borusse 11-10-2003, 05:03:AM JFH did the right thing by exiting through the VIP section aka running away. As ironic as that may sound.
Elder 11-10-2003, 05:04:AM Damn, you're dumb.
No, Jimmy is dumb for getting punched like a b**ch by some drunk guys.
manufan 11-10-2003, 05:20:AM If it were me, I'd take my beating, fight back as much possible. Then come back later with some homies and beat the crap out of the beerbelly fool.
Elder 11-10-2003, 05:24:AM now that's what i'm talking about. you can just get beat up like a girl, and face your teamates who want your job in the locker room. you know he is being made fun of by Crespo and Mutu. He probably just makes those googly eyes back at him like when he scores a goal.

Lol yeah, or he prolly does the running man in front of them.:p
Jedi Mind Trick 11-10-2003, 05:27:AM he should have punched the dude back and run to the corner of the bar and start doing his running man dance.
Elder 11-10-2003, 05:29:AM hahahahahahahahhahahaha
I forgot about his running man!! HOLY HELL! To think he even does that dance is amazing. Man, I would really love Jimmy if he did that, but now he is my least favorite Dutch striker.
hahahahahhahhaha
manufan 11-10-2003, 05:33:AM Lawd I wish I were Van Nistelrooy. When Lauren pushed me, I woulda snuffed the hell outta him. Why oh why did VN have to do the right thing?:p The next time I played Arsenal I'd be out to break his legs, every tackle would be studs up. Yes people I'm a maniac...

I would have to disagree. The Arsenal players looked like such jackasses because nobody did anything back to them. I was at a local bar watching the game and all the Arsenal fans were cheering them on until someone reminded them that they still lost 3 nil to the Inter. Then they were quiet.
Arsenal knows they are a second place team, they are just waiting for the crash.

Yeah good point.(H) That's why they were so happy with the draw. You dont see Man Utd celebrating like that when they draw at highbury.:o
mufc_daddy 13-10-2003, 06:44:AM It seems that Davids was involved with the brawl. What the hell was he doing in London?
http://www.soccerage.com/en/13/q6511.html
Discussing a transfer deal to Chelsea?
mufc_daddy 13-10-2003, 08:59:AM Perhaps. But i think surely even Ranieri thinks they have enough midfielders already.
Was it Jimmy's birthday? He could have invited Davids over for a drink and a good old brawl.
northstar 13-10-2003, 11:25:AM It was international week, but wasnt Davids with the Dutch team?
mufc_daddy 13-10-2003, 05:34:PM That makes sense. He got red carded in the previous game against the Czechs. Thats probably why he was in London. I wonder if Ruud was having a friendly drink with Davids aswell??
ogsimon 13-10-2003, 05:46:PM what would rude boy have done if he were, there. besides i hate these thug like, hooligan mutha fuders.
They are just jealous. The only way to get out of a situation like that with pride, is to say," listen mate i am a peacful christan who lives by the word of God, please refrain" The guy will be baffled and ashamed of himself and you can go about your business shazam
Happened dozens of times to Roy Keane, mostly because of people that wanted to sell the story to "The Sun" when he hit them back.
