Sweden you people know it. I hate them but I've got to say they're very good. In fact, they're friggin' very, very good. One of the best teams in Europe. Who knows, maybe in da world.

they haven't been playing too well recently. but i don't think they've been using their european players a whole lot in their friendlies.

Hah that caught my attention too. If that game would have ended in a draw, USA wouldn't have been through. I nearly had a heart attack running up and down the stairs watching the two games (USA - Poland and S. Korea - Portugal). I had each game set up on two different TV's.

Me too. I was cheering for Portugal in that WC, apart from my country. I was pretty let down at that time, and pretty pissed off at Figo.

i believe raul was injured. a sprained ankle or something.

You want proof.....in the last two world cups host teams have had success out of no were...my guess is ticket sales....if Koreans and Japanese aren't going to the matches= MONEY LOST....so their teams needed to have SOME success in order for tickets to sell.....

This isn't a problem in Europe...people will go watch all the matches....
