If someone would insult my mother on the pitch I'd probably floor him. Beckham wasn't complaining at all, he was answering questions (like antithesis stated, for once I agree with an Arsenal supporter:p ) the media had asked him. Second, I'm not sure how many people saw this, but Alpay poked Beckham in the face when the two teams were coming off at half time, why did he do that, there wasn't any reason for it. It's just bullying on Alpay's part as far as I am concerned. Also, he didn't need to run up to Beckham after he had missed the penalty. He missed it, good for Alpay, get on with the game...there is no need to go up to a player and insult him.

Hans my old buddy its all about Self discipline ... i have had my mother insulted many times either playing aussie rules or basketball or whatever and i have only flipped once in 15 years of competitive sport ... the only reason i flipped was because my mum at the time was sick and i had a lot on my mind and i snapped ... in every other case i just smiled back at them or reminded them of my focus by not getting involved
