Who doesn't like TCM's statistic system? I perfer CM's...sry guys but its just not as realistic to me =(
I also have doubs about the media being annoying like TCM 03's.
The 3D match system looks near as perfect but can't they just spend a couple more weeks to develop a brand new 2D match mode???
Anyways...this game is gonna be great can't wait to get it.

I think that the media has been refined this year.

I don't think a 2D match will be developed, SI will probably sue! (H) The fifa engine is also what makes TCM unique.

I like the statistic system, don't forget that this year that every player has every statistic rated. It's gonna be great, and it again makes it unique.

In the first ever development diary a 2D match engine was mentioned:

Rolf and Michael are currently completing technical adaptions, like integrating the new FIFA2003 engine and a new 2d engine into TCM2004. This means that we will have a completely new player AI in TCM2004.

As you can see it was a long time ago in the early stages of developemt when the 3D match engine was going to be the FIFA 2003 engine. Using this FIFA engine would have given them alot more time to develop a 2D engine but since the change to the FIFA 2004 match engine I think time would be alot more limited. With this in mind I don't think we'll see a 2D engine this year but I could be wrong- and often am :rolleyes: If it doesn't appear this year I think it will be in TCM2005.

I have to say that i agree with tydomo with the stats although aslong as the players are like they are in real life i dont really mind

CM has a better rating system, I agree, but with the better detail, and larger database, another thing comes to mind: To Madeira (or whatever his name was, never used him).

(explained: With a lot of detail, comes a lot of researching. Much researching leads to many researchers. Many researchers with different opinions on rating, and the possibility to sneak in a non-existant player...)

Yea this was my major complaint the whole time, I think TCM would become a much better game if only they reverted back to the old FAPLM system.

And yes like Rabster said, there will be a 2d engine this year. And again like he said, doubt we'd use it too much, I mean download the FIFA 2004 demo and don't select any sides to just watch the Computer play a match, the graphics are great and the ai has improved a lot for last year.

Yes, the demo looks impressive, but how do the AI tactics we set work through on the engine. We'll have to see the TCM demo to be sure it's really any good.

The fifa 2004 graphics are crap. I want a PES3 engine in TCM2004! :rockman:

The logos are blurred, the heads are the only decent graphics. PES is miles ahead.

The Demos Res is set at 640*480 download an Expander and change it and the graphics are awesome.

The Pes Graphics are nothing compared to the FIFA ones pitty the gameplay isnt like that

I suppose, but I never liked Fifa graphics anyway. I suppose this should go into the PES vs FIFA :rolleyes:
