Iceland made a draw against France at home.
But lost 3-2 in france in EU2000.
France wore over 2-0 at half time and Iceland tied the game at 59th minute.

World's best team is obviously Brazil, but I want to know why did EA leave Russia and Ukraine out of the game and put Thailand, Israel, Taiwan, Singapore and Lebanon in it?

BTW Russia beat France 3:2 at Stade de France in June in EURO2000 qualifiers, I think it's better than scoring 2 and losing.

Personally I think Holland, they have class in every position.

Sweden is definetely among the top 10 in the world.
I the qualification group they have only got one goal passed them(against England), and they didn`t lose a game. They have defeated England, Italy, Denmark, Bulgaria...

I'm still not sure why everyone always forgets to put Portugal on thier list of best teams. Portugal has amazing players like Rui Costa, Figo, Conciecao, Joao Pinto, and Paulo Sousa, just to name a few. I won't say Portugal is the best national team, but they definatly deserve a little more respect than what some of you guys are giving.

The Netherlands I think, theyr'e clash with Czech Rep should give an indication of the talent Holland has and the Czech doesn't.

The Netherlands is the best international team in the world.

But I don't think the friendly match against Czech will proof how good they are. Holland is only going for a real prize and that will be Euro 2000.

Due to other countries Holland don't have to qualify. So a real target isn't in site.

I'd have to say that Holland is the best international team, they are surely the best in Europe.
Some may think this strange, but id like to say that Australia is on the way up to becoming a great international force. The problem is as a national team we bearly get an chance to prove it, as most countries don't want to travel down here and clubs don't release our international players. Australia are playing Brazil in Sydney and Melbourne (Australia)in a weeks time and maybe we can prove ourselves then.

It has to be Dominican Republic of course (if you can't tell I'm being sarcastic). Really though I think at this moment in time it's between Brazil and Holland.

First, the only team to beat Russian in official match (no friendly) in Russia was France (2-3) and it was only when Russian team was in bad form and and had this coach that played in too defensive style and picked players that sucked. He called back such players that everybody forgot about them. Iceland beat Russia in Iceland with an own goal on the 90's minute and after its midfielder got a second yellow because an he was tripped in the penalty box and the reffery thought it was a dive. You could see that after that game a new coach was nominated and Russia almost did what was almost impposible to do. I mean look at Russia's results:

Yeah, there are astonishingly many good players from Iceland regarding it's a very small country. I'm from Norway, where most of the icelandic national team plays. Dadason, Sigurdsson, Helguson, Kristinsson, Arason & co. are very much respected here and do a GREAT job for their teams. Keep sending your great players here :-)
