Yes it oftens happens after a foul then the screen gets blury and the game crashes. Am i the only one with this prob or is it a bug?

I had the same Blurry thing just jet, after a goal, a cutscene appeared and I pressed ESC on my keyboard and then the screen went blurry and faded to th bottom of my screen. After that I had to reset my PC. At first I tried ALT-TAB, but my desktop also seem to be blurry. It could be a bug in the demo, or the result of using a demo-patcher or It could be that my ATI radeon 9800 Pro is not really supported?

Ok so it's a bug coz i've got a geforce so it can't be the graphics card when it also happens with a radeon card. Do u have the latest drivers installed?

Yeah I installed cat. 3.8 just yesterday, so I really think it's a major bug in the demo. Let's hop EA discoveres it too and fix it.

I'm using: Radeon 9700 Pro, with the latest catalyst drivers; and the latest DirectX components.
Since it happens to GeForce graphics cards too, it's EA's fault; yet again!! ;-)

it happened to me twice already...but i juz needed to close the program by coming back to desktop

Hey guys u know EA maybe it's the same like last year when ea said that u could make a header in the fullversion but could u make a header? NO!!
Maybe this year the fullversion will crash with a blury screen all the time. :kader: :kader:

add me to this list too, the blurry thing happened to me twice so far, right after a foul. both times that it happened, it was towards the end of the second half (10 min halves, with both demo factory and demo raptor). i'll try to get a screenshot next time

my specs:

athlon xp 2100
asus a7n8x mobo
radeon 9500 pro (it happened w/ the 3.7 and 3.8 drivers)
more than enough hard drive space

same here, I had this issue, when a cutscene was played, the whole of the screen melted off, very artistic but it crashed my FIFA and I had to reboot, and it happens once in a while.....matt get on to EA about this!

I have never had this problem with my GeForce 5200 FX. :kader:

Same problem with MSI nVidia Geforce 4 MX440.

I wonder if it only happens with the expanded demo.
Never had this bug in the normal 4-min demo, but maybe i
didn't give him time to crash.

i dun think it is a problem with the graphics card, its really juz a bug

i have the same problem too...with a geforce 2 mx 400 card... perhaps we used the same extender, that caused this bug... Did you used Demo Factory? Is this application the center of this problem?:confused:

Well it didn't crash since i last posted maybe it's because of the new detonator driver i've installed maybe it's just luck.

My game crashes every time it starts loading for the match, after i've selected the controllers. I've re-installed it about 4 times and uninstalled all the patches but doesn't help...

Me too :(

Seems to happen when i have lots of things running in the background. THought it may be coz the graphics were set to Triple Buffer, but it still happens on unsynched too :(

any solutions found yet?

Try removing the complete folder of fifa 2004 demo after uninstall, then reinstall, should work (i.e., locale.ini could still be in folder if not removed).

Yeah its happen to me a lot also.
Every so often the screen gets all blurry and stuff. All i can do is reboot. It does seem to happen after a foul/goal and it enters the cinematics scene.
PS-Geforce 4 mx.

I got a g foce 4 mx 440 .... But the demo raptors work fine install direct x 9.0a and latest drivers

i downloaded the latest nvidia driver and i didn't checked yet, but normally it should work now...

ill try d/l the newest drivers. i went to the website and the driver was 45.23?!?! why not 45.33?

I think its only the demo wid this problem and damn Philip-Beckham your screen shot looks nasty, the guy has a hole in his body, mine doesnt get that bad!!! Home they fix it though dont want me beating the comp on Wclass and then get a blurr so id have to quit!!!

Something tells me EA wouldnt be that narrow minded to leave something like this in the final release. Just wait it out guys.

i tried the game with the latest nvidia driver and no chance! it's still buggy...:kader: Perhaps something to change in the Vsynch mode?:confused:

Ive found the only solution is to play the game in Windowed mode...Use the latest Demo Raptor release to achieve this option.

I have this problem with window mode also
but is the blury screen problem only occured in the second half?
because i try to play 3 first half matchs which the half lenght is 16mins, no problem

Maybe the Demo expanders have caused this problem for us then, as the demo is meant for 1 half only :S

try reinstalling the demo and dont have any expanders in use and then try to see if it blurs during the 1 and only half

Sorry mate but.. Well let me put it this way:
EA would be that narrow minded! How long have you been playing Fifa games for? Fifa 99 full version and not warez was the last Fifa to run and not crash on me.
I've tried them on different computers too

If it happens in the demo....it's got a good chance of it happening in the full version.
It's a shame because EA seem to have finaly got this years Fifa right. And they won't bring out a fix if the same problem happens in the full game.
They'll just say "we're working on the next fifa now"

So all they care about is money!!!!
They should get together with Micro$oft

GGGGGRRRRR WTH now its happening to me too, though it never happened when I had Yellow cards off.... BTW I'm using Demofactory which maybe the case?? I'll try the Demo Raptor instead...

I think dis doesn't happen in real full version game...cause i played about 6matches and it didn't happen...ONLY DEMO I THINK:D
