Here is my kits tread with this suck a$$ format..

i actually think that this format is ok after seeing your kit, if you think about it, last year we had 1gk up until about March or so, its just you guys are soo used to using 2gk, that you think its naff, well hopefully ariel can work his magic ;)

Thank you Stotty.. I hope some thing can be worked out here as well. Im all for changing the format and making all the kits for the game. We have lots of great kits makers here, If we work at it together we can have all the kits made in about 2 months.

How is everything going mate, Love your kits bro they are class. I had a lot of kits but when my cpu crashed I lost all of them. I have about 50 if that **** didnt happen to my cpu then i would have had about 300. LOL

I use photoshop. To make my lines the I use the freeform pen tool and just draw my lines. It takes some time to get it right. I spent 2 hrs. on a collar one time. My wife thought I was nuts, but when the kit was finished I was happy with it.

i hate using free pen
coz its then never exactly how i want it but
how can you get rid of the inner color area if you now what i mean
and make the strokes thicker

Well change the thickness of the stroke you need to change the brush size. I dont understand what you mean by the innercolor.

The free from pen is the best tool for making lines bro. I would just stick with that until you get it right.

Mate I sorry I pass by without seeing this. That kit was a kit i had made for 2003. I just tried to convert it for 2004. It looks like sh*t in game. As far as the texture goes fede made that last year( I take it you mean texture when you say format) you can get that at socceraccess. But it will be for 2003 kits, although that can be converted over.

Hey VP, Nice Chelsea kit. Only one suggestion : don`t put the EPL logo on that captain long sleeves part. That captain long sleeves was so pressed I`m afraid it will stretched and blured very badly in-game. Yeah, above all, from EA ****ty templates that`s one part that I really hate beside the shorts.

Cool kits..the Ajax one is great! Why are people calling EA idiots about the kit format. I know its crap but EA wern't and shouldn't be thinking about the people who edit the game when making this format. The reason the game was made was for people to play, not edit.

I would look in the soccergamming download section there is a kit making tutoral. It's very helpful for someone who is starting out. I used it in the begining.

As far as making collars I draw them with the freeform pen tool. I really cant tell you how to do it. In the begining its going to be hard, you just have to keep at it and then you will get a feel for what you have to do.

My collars have like 5 layers

outline
top
vneck
shading
inner

then i use different effects on each one.

the best i can say is to just work at and dont give up

maybe you could put a download up so we could download your collar or collars in .psd format and we could then add them to our kits

make a .psd file with all the different layers you use and the effects

...just an idea ;)

Curswine.........I know what a pain it is to make collars and stuff.....but you cant expect VP to hand out his collars and files......these are the things that give a kitmaker his trademarks.......you have to do what we all do sit for hours looking at collars on kits and try your best to copy them but dont make an exact copy for your kits but try to add something original........VP is a terrific guy and would give you the shirt off his back.......really.........so in case he's wondering how to answer this without looking like a prick and also not wanting to dissapoint you...........you gotta understand that this is a request that is fairly likely to be refused.........as you said ..it was just a thought and i know you will understand ..........'cos its also true that if you dont ask .....then you dont get.........keep practicing mate and good luck.........:D

no what i was saying is that if he just made a collar for beginners to seeing that he has probably the best collars on the board in my opinion and a lot of people trying to start off making kits might just need help and using a collar that he made will make there kits look more professional thats all

but... if you feel that strongly about it then ok

As far as putting my collars up for download goes, That is something that I will not do. I dont want to be a prick, but I cant do that. Work at it and if you have any questions ask me or any of the other kit makers here. Everyone is very helpful...
