Don't let the other team get possession of the ball. When the opponents kick off, I use a striker to sprint to the recipient of the ball and use the D tackle to steal it from him. I rarely use the A tackle for anything. On other plays, just use the S to switch to a defender and charge the striker, then use the D tackle.
