Has anyone here read Dwight Yorke's impassioned plea on Man U's web site, asking supporters to help the club in their pledge to raise £1,000,000 for UNICEF? Is this not the richest club on Earth, with many of their players earning upwards of £15-20 thousand a week? And they need their supporters (the same supporters for whom the club just raised their ticket prices again) to pony up the million?? You've got to be kidding!

That's not just United - its a lot of teams, look at John Gregory, he wants to raise 10,000 pounds for Alzheimers - LOL - 10,000, I bet more than half of his team earn more than that in a week! If he wanted to he could raise that from just three or four players - but who'd give?
